The Drum Glide is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. It is designed to support the front of the dryer drum as it rotates, allowing the drum to turn smoothly with minimal friction and noise. This is a single glide. Your dryer uses two so it is recommended to replace both at the same time.

Causes of a bad drum glide can include wear and tear from regular use, excessive loads that put undue strain on the drum and its components, or accumulation of lint and debris that can interfere with the glide's movement.

Symptoms of a bad Drum Glide can include:

  • Unusual noises, such as screeching or squealing, during operation
  • Increased difficulty in turning the drum, leading to longer drying times or incomplete cycles
  • Visible wear or damage to the glide itself, indicating it is time for a replacement

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Hi Inothenry. Open the dryer door and feel the gap in between the top of the drum and the front panel. If you can put your finger in it, then the front panel seals are worn. This upper part # is 134440200. The lower felt seal is part # 5303937183. Also your rear tub bearing that connects to the back of the tub is worn. This part # is 5303281153. Thank you.

Hello Joyceeg. You will need to check and see if the rear bearing 5303281153 is bad, or if the front felt seal 134440200 is bad on the machine. Look for wear and drag marks. Hope this helps.
