The Drum Glide is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. It is designed to support the front of the dryer drum as it rotates, allowing the drum to turn smoothly with minimal friction and noise. This is a single glide. Your dryer uses two so it is recommended to replace both at the same time.

Causes of a bad drum glide can include wear and tear from regular use, excessive loads that put undue strain on the drum and its components, or accumulation of lint and debris that can interfere with the glide's movement.

Symptoms of a bad Drum Glide can include:

  • Unusual noises, such as screeching or squealing, during operation
  • Increased difficulty in turning the drum, leading to longer drying times or incomplete cycles
  • Visible wear or damage to the glide itself, indicating it is time for a replacement

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Hello Danny. First lift the top of the machine by releasing the clips from under the top corners. To install this belt you will need to remove the front assembly of the dryer. Once removed you will need to loop the new belt around the dryer drum. Here is a link to the Repair Forums page. This is a free service we offer our customers. This link has diagrams of how the belt goes around the pulleys. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/dryer-repair/25860-dryer-belt-diagrams.html

Hello Trixy. If you replaced the control thermistor 134587700 and the unit still gives the code, you may have a bad control board 134523200NH in the unit. Make sure the air is moving good out of the blower wheel and across the thermistor. Also, check the wiring harness and make sure it is good. If so, you will need to replace the control board. Hope this helps.
