Jess August 22, 2017 for Model Number FGMV174KFC Hello - the door on my Microwave does not close. After a little researching, the best I can find is that the plastic latch has broken from the spring, which was our original thoughts. We have looked at many different videos on how to replace this but feel as tho we have come up short as we cannot find the correct model (since they are all a little different) and do not want to break the unit. Can you explain how this repair is made on this unit? Many Thanks!!

Pete June 06, 2016 for Model Number FGMV174KFB Hello, my Frigidaire micro wave door does not latch, . I removed the rectangular cover inside the door to access the latch area. The latch, as seen on this link below on your site, appears to be fine, the part that broke is what the other side of the latch spring attaches to on the inside of the door, a piece of the plastic door frame, just like the second letter (under "most interesting")on the linked page below..mine is a different model number though than that other user, is mine the same part #? which is the entire door, I found another letter and that user replaced the frame in the door, pretty easily it seems. Door wont latch. took off cover. spring disconnected. latch itself is fine. broken item is the cheap, plastic strut coming out from door to which spring attaches. How the heck do i fix that? glue is not going to work. Is there an alternative fix that my small brain does not envision? thanks!

Adam October 08, 2015 for Model Number FGMV174KFA So similar question as others. My door won't stay closed I opened up door panel. The door latch is not broke nor is the spring. What has broken is the plastic piece that attaches the door to door latch via the spring on the door side. It looks as though this plastic piece is part of the door frame that encompasses the whole door. What is your recommendation, what is the part to repalce.
