John July 09, 2019 for Model Number FGHS2342LF4 Sometimes the ice dispenser will not shut off after getting ice and I have to open freezer door to stop it. Same goes for water. Sometimes it will work for a few days and then problem starts again.
1 Answer John, you may want to inspect the dispenser paddle for any kind of sticking as this can cause the dispenser switch to not disengage. If there is no sticking, then the most likely issue is going to be in the dispenser module 242074223. Read More...
Dave February 07, 2019 for Model Number LGUS2642LF2 The waterline that dispenses water from the door continually freezes, and will not dispense water once frozen. I have thawed it out and the next day it re-freezes what do I do?
1 Answer Dave, make sure the temperature in the freezer section is around 0-5 degrees. Use water from the dispenser during the day, even if you are not drinking it, fill the dog water bowl or water a plant, anything to keep the water moving. Sometimes the insulation inside the door will break down over time and allow the temperature inside the door to stay at a colder temperature. The only solution would be to replace the door, that would be expensive. Read More...

Karen October 25, 2018 for Model Number FGUS2642LF2 The water dispenser will sometimes stay on after we removed the glass. It seems to be staying on longer, and it happens randomly. Do you know what part would need to be replaced? It is starting to become a daily occurrence. Thanks for any help!
1 Answer Karen, Two possible issues. The switch on the dispenser is sticking or the water valve is not sealing when the voltage is removed. The only way to test is to check voltage at the valve and make sure when you let go of the water actuator the voltage stops. You can test this with your water off also. Voltage should be 120volts at the valve. Read More...
Aaron September 24, 2018 for Model Number DGUS2645LF2 On a Frigidaire DGUS1645L2 the water will delay shutting off after being used for several seconds, sometimes it requires pulling forward on the dispenser to stop. On one occasion that did not work and I had to turn off the water to the fridge to stop the dispenser. I turned the water back on and the valve was closed. I think this is a dispenser issue rather than a control board issue. Am I thinking about this correctly?
1 Answer Aaron, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty dispenser module that is sticking. Read More...

Vo April 25, 2018 Thank you for your advice. After I replaced the control Electrical board part for # 241973711 & the water valve part #242252702 and checked the wiring harness at the bottom of the freezer door hinge just like you told us, it is working. But now it has another problem: the water is not filling up the ice maker tray. (It only makes 3 ice cubes at a time). The fill tube is not clogged, it's clear. Please help. Thanks, for Model Number LPUS2686LF0 Vo
1 Answer Vo, Check and make sure the water supply line didn't twist or kink, when you rolled the refrigerator back into position. It should take less than 10 seconds to fill an 8 oz. glass of water from the dispenser on the door, and the ice maker should fill with 3.5 to 4 oz. of water in less than 10 seconds. You may want to recheck the water supply line, under the sink and flush the water supply line to make sure you have at least 32 PSI to the refrigerator. We presume you've checked and replaced the water filter(if needed). Let us know what you find. Read More...
