For Frigidaire Dispenser Assembly (Part Number: OEM17856699)

Deep for Model Number frigidaire lgus2642lf1

I recently bought part number AP5952230, a module dispenser for my Frigidaire refrigerator. During installation, a two wire clip to the board control broke off. The board control is part PS3408795. It's two orange wires. Since there wasn't much I could do about it, I just put everything back together and it works fine. But I'm trying to find what those two orange wires control. Thank you for your incredible fast shipping and very useful website. It's a little frustrating the replacement of the module dispenser didn't go smoothly but I'm hoping things will still work out.

Marc for Model Number DGUS2645LF3

After doing some research it seems that the solenoid on the dispenser door is not properly holding the door open for dispensing cube or crushed. If I use my finger to 'help' the flap open, it stays and dispenses properly but if I don't, it flips opens and immediately closes and nothing happens. Do you agree that it is the solenoid that is suppose to hold the door open? If so, I see on this website that the part breakdown only goes to the dispenser module level. Can I get just the solenoid?

Marc, The solenoid 241675704/241675803, or the solenoid and yoke assembly 241675704/241675704, are both in stock and available at this time. Before you replace the assembly, check and make sure the shifter arm is properly located and attached to the side of the ice bin. Then check that the end of the shifter arm is properly located and "seated" inside the yoke of the solenoid. If all's OK, replace the part. Thanks,

Hello Gabe, To remove the Dispenser module you will have to remove the trim around the dispenser. It pops out of place being careful not to break it or scratch door using putty knife may be best option with something behind it to protect door. You would then remove the 2 screws holding the module in place.
