Marcus November 23, 2014 for Model Number FGHD2433KF1 My dishwasher has not been washing upper rack very well. I noticed the upper and middle arm not spraying any water just lower arm is moving and spraying.
1 Answer Marcus, You will want to open the pump and remove the volute cover and check to make sure that the check ball is not stuck and make sure that there is nothing caught down in the drain pump that would cause the unit to not circulate properly. Read More...
Roni November 15, 2014 Frigidaire dishwasher not draining after cycle is complete. I replaced the drain pump assembly. Also checked the drainage hose for clogs. Still won't drain. should i replace the motor kit? Is that part of the pump/water removal?
1 Answer Roni, You will want to check the flapper on the drain and make sure that it is not stuck, damaged or missing. Also check to make sure that the drain hose goes to a point of at least 32" before going into the home drain supply. Read More...
Bel October 24, 2014 for Model Number FDB1050REC4 My dishwasher's lights on the panel are blinking on and off. If I press the start button twice, it will work, but when the lights are blinking, it does not start. Also, when I shut the door when it is not in use, there is a thumping sound that comes from inside. Can you explain what's happening here?
1 Answer Hello Bel. It sounds like the control module 154712101 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Jerry August 28, 2014 for Model Number pld4555rfc top two arms are not turning. dishes are dirty after complete cycle....glasses are dirty on the inside on top rack.....HELP//////took parts off bottom of dishwasher down to little ball that rolls toward back of dishwasher....this seem to be ok.....what's next.....thanks jerry.......
1 Answer Jerry, The first and easiest check would have been the water level in the bottom of the tub. Start the dishwasher, allow the machine to fill and wash for 5 minutes, unlatch the door, or cancel the cycle. Open the door and remove the lower rack. The water level in the center of the tub as close as possible to the spray arm, should measure 3/4 to 1 inch in depth. if not you don't have enough water in the dishwasher to circulate and pressurize the pump properly. You'll need to check or replace the fill valve 154569201 to solve that issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Rick. The motor kit part number 154844101 shows to come with both o rings. Thanks! Read More...
Jeff April 16, 2014 for Model Number FGHD2433KF1 Unit now makes a grinding sound when the water drains. I removed the drain pump and it looks fine. It spins freely. All tubes are clear of debris. Any ideas? Thanks
1 Answer Jeff, If the unit is making a grinding noise and the drain is clear of debris and nothing is in the sump that would cause the unit to make this noise then the issue would be caused by a faulty motor 154844101. Read More...
Billy H January 27, 2014 for Model Number FGHD2433KF1 My dishwasher has been running louder than normal and does not drain when the wash cycle is complete. I've removed and cleaned the the base, support and filter assembly and am still having the same issue. Do I need to replace the pump assembly (A00126401)?
1 Answer Billy, With the unit not draining, you will want to make sure that the hoses and drain pump are not clogged. If these check ok then most likely the drain pump A00126401 would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jimmy D January 25, 2014 for Model Number FGHD2433KF1 Frigidaire dishwasher started leaking and ruined my kitchen floor. Shut down and saw water coming from bottom of motor housing. I read the various suggestions and ordered both the front and rear o-ring on the motor. I carefully cleaned and installed the motor housing back into place. Turned on water and it still leaks the same if not more then before. I traced the leak to the (4-5 cut vents) between the actual motor and internal impeller. I can only assume at this point the shaft seal is bad and the entire assembly needs replaced? Can you shed some light as there is no breakdown of the motor assembly itself so any troubleshooting from this end is limited. What do you suggest to check at this point? JImmy D
1 Answer Jimmy, The shaft seal on the motor is not a separate replaceable part and you would need to replace the motor kit on the unit, part number 154844101. Read More...

Jim December 29, 2013 for Model Number fdb2810ldc0 My dishwasher started making a squeaking noise a couple a days ago and has changed into a constant whirring type noise. I took the bottom panel off and it sounds like it's coming from the circulation pump. I also noticed that it is leaking. Is this the circulation pump or am I overlooking some other possibility? Do you think the noise and the leak are same problem? Thank You Jim
1 Answer Jim, If the unit is leaking around the recirculation pump and there is a whirring type noise then the issue would be a faulty pump in which you will want to replace. The part number for the motor kit is 154844101. Read More...
