Nancy C. March 27, 2014 I have a Frigidaire oven and the bake element is not working is gets very low warm but the broil element is working and the stove top burners are working. Is this just a replacement of the oven bake element that should fix it or could it be the plug outlet voltage because I read another question on this topic. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Nancy, If the broil element is turning orange when energized, you have 240Vac to the unit and the problem will be isolated to the bake circuit. This means that you either have a bad bake element [] or a bad relay on the control []. You can either test the bake element, (be sure to power down the unit since 120Vac rides on one side of the element at all times), or you can test power out of the bake terminal with the wire disconnected from it. This terminal should read 120Vac with the wire off. If it does, the element is likely the cause. Read More...

Brian March 01, 2014 for Model Number AP2136868 I can't tell if the mounting plates have the same screw placement as what I am replacing. Is there a way to get a picture or confirm that it's only one screw for each plate above the element?

Tawnya February 24, 2014 We have a 5 year old Frigidaire oven/range. I turned it on last night and the element started lighting up like a welder's torch (kinda like sparking, but more of a constant bright light). Part of the element fell right off. Obviously we need a new element, but do you think there was another faulty part causing this or just the element itself? Don't want to put a new element in and have it happen again.
1 Answer Hello Tawnya! No, the element itself can cause the flare up within the oven when it shorts out. You should be fine with replacing the element only. Thanks! Read More...
Jeanett November 18, 2013 We just replaced the heating element in our electric range buy the oven still won't heat up. There is plenty of juice going into element. What could be wrong?
1 Answer Hello Jeanett. If there is 240 volts to the element, and the element is good, it should work. However, low voltage will cause a no heat issue or bad wiring. You need to test directly at the element in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Anita April 25, 2013 for Model Number FED353WAD-1 I ordered the baking element and when I removed the baking element the wire on the right came out so I could install the new element but the left one did not come through the hole How do I get the wire through the hole?
1 Answer Anita, If you cannot get the wire through the opening then you will need to pull the unit out and remove the back panel. If you go ahead and install the bake element then you can just plug the wire into the element once you have the back panel off. Read More...
Retort December 15, 2012 After turning the oven on the main and range breakers blew. After restoring power, the stove top works but no power at all to the oven. Would the oven element be doing this? It is a frigidaire if that helps any.
1 Answer Hello Retort, I would turn off the breaker to the oven/range and check the oven elements and wiring. Perhaps a wire burned off and shorted causing the breakers to trip. You may need a new element but check the wires too. Hope this helps! Read More...
