The Sensor Probe is an OEM part for Frigidaire ovens and ranges. This sensor is essential for monitoring the oven's internal temperature and communicating with the control board to maintain accurate cooking temperatures. It helps ensure that your oven heats to the desired setting and maintains consistent temperatures throughout the cooking process.

You should replace this sensor probe if it becomes faulty. Common issues that lead to a bad sensor probe include regular wear and tear, exposure to high temperatures over extended periods, or electrical failures within the sensor itself. Physical damage from accidental impacts during cleaning or maintenance can also compromise the sensor's functionality.

Symptoms of a bad sensor probe include:

  • Inaccurate oven temperature readings
  • Oven not reaching the set temperature
  • Error codes related to temperature control
  • Oven overheating or underheating

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

For Frigidaire Probe (Part Number: OEM11908314)

Shawn for Model Number GLEF379DBD

Hello, My Frigidaire / Electolux oven would often display an F10 error when heating up, especially for temperatures over 350 degrees. Lower temperatures would be ok. I tested the temperature probe at room temp and measured 1128 ohms. I replace the clock / contol unit thinking this must be the problem but the error continues. Could the temp probe be failing when hot? I can't think of anything else that influences this part of the temperature regulation. Thank you.

Shawn, Yes, the oven sensor could be faulty and only reading bad when it is heated. The resistance may go up too rapidly past a certain point causing this issue.

Tony, The temp probe is most likely the cause for the issue that you are having. You will want to check the resistance of the sensor which should be 1090 ohms at room temp.

Melody, Based on the error codes that you have the oven sensor would be the issue with the unit. To access the probe will be done one of 2 ways. The first possible way is to look inside the unit and see if the probe, which is located in the upper left corner of the unit is mounted from the inside. If it is then just take out the screws and pull it out along with the connector. Disconnect the wires and make sure that the connector does not go back into the hole until the new sensor is plugged up. Then push the connector and wires into the hole and reattach. This is the easier method if mounted this way. The other method will require the unit to be pulled out from the wall and disconnect the power. Once the power is disconnected then remove the rear panel of the unit and the probe will be on the right side when looking at the back. You will remove 2 screws and pull the probe out and install the new probe.

Hello Peter! The F-10 error code indicates the control has sensed a runaway temperature. You need to test the temperature sensor [316490001]. It should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. If it tests good and the wiring checks good, the clock [316557114] will have to be replaced.

Hello Joe. Make sure the elements are good in the unit. If so, and the voltage is correct, you will need to replace the control board in the unit.

Lee, The oven sensor being 3 inches longer will not make a difference and if the connector is different then it can be spliced using ceramic wire nuts.
