Shawn December 20, 2014 for Model Number GLEF379DBD Hello, My Frigidaire / Electolux oven would often display an F10 error when heating up, especially for temperatures over 350 degrees. Lower temperatures would be ok. I tested the temperature probe at room temp and measured 1128 ohms. I replace the clock / contol unit thinking this must be the problem but the error continues. Could the temp probe be failing when hot? I can't think of anything else that influences this part of the temperature regulation. Thank you.
1 Answer Shawn, Yes, the oven sensor could be faulty and only reading bad when it is heated. The resistance may go up too rapidly past a certain point causing this issue. Read More...
Don November 29, 2014 for Model Number 790.96619409 The oven heats up to a good temperature for baking. I checked the ohm's on the oven sensor and it measures 1087 at room temperature. Ohms on the oven, broil, and convection elements measure about 17O. I'm wondering if I am looking at a bad oven control board.
Tony July 11, 2014 for Model Number FGF366ESB Help, please have Frigiaire oven mpod# FGF366ESB. When using oven mostly between 350-400 it will either burn or under cook. But it does not do it all the time. Could it be the temp. probe. Thanks
1 Answer Tony, The temp probe is most likely the cause for the issue that you are having. You will want to check the resistance of the sensor which should be 1090 ohms at room temp. Read More...
Melody March 16, 2014 for Model Number FEB386CEBH My Frigidaire wall oven beeps and gives error code F1 and F3 after it's reaches the temperature I set on the control panel. It appears this may be the sensor probe causing the issue. Any other suggestions? Where can I find instructions on how to replace this part?
1 Answer Melody, Based on the error codes that you have the oven sensor would be the issue with the unit. To access the probe will be done one of 2 ways. The first possible way is to look inside the unit and see if the probe, which is located in the upper left corner of the unit is mounted from the inside. If it is then just take out the screws and pull it out along with the connector. Disconnect the wires and make sure that the connector does not go back into the hole until the new sensor is plugged up. Then push the connector and wires into the hole and reattach. This is the easier method if mounted this way. The other method will require the unit to be pulled out from the wall and disconnect the power. Once the power is disconnected then remove the rear panel of the unit and the probe will be on the right side when looking at the back. You will remove 2 screws and pull the probe out and install the new probe. Read More...

Peter B. February 08, 2014 for Model Number fefl63fsa Turn on bake and everything starts to preheat but never stops heating then error code f10 and beeping. Oven shuts off. What do you think.. bad control or probe?
1 Answer Hello Peter! The F-10 error code indicates the control has sensed a runaway temperature. You need to test the temperature sensor [316490001]. It should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. If it tests good and the wiring checks good, the clock [316557114] will have to be replaced. Read More...
Lisa M January 08, 2014 for Model Number FEF366DCC Oven bake and broil elements quit heating at all on same day. Circuit board still lights up for oven and preheat, clock, timers, sounds ...all still work. What could the issue be? I ordered bake element from your company and replaced but it does not heat either...could it be oven probe?
1 Answer Hello Lisa. No, you will need to order and replace the control board 5304509493 in the unit. Read More...

Lee December 28, 2013 for Model Number 79099503991 On my model Kenmore range I ordered p/n 316111203 which is r/b, p/n 316490001. R/b, p/n mounting bracket extends probe into oven 6 inches, compared to original p/n which is 3 inches from mounting bracket going into oven. Is this O.K.? Also connectors are different but I guess I can splice to wire harness. My appliance Model Number is 79099503991 and was manf. in Canada Thank You Lee
1 Answer Lee, The oven sensor being 3 inches longer will not make a difference and if the connector is different then it can be spliced using ceramic wire nuts. Read More...
