The Frigidaire Drain Pump is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It plays a crucial role in the washer's operation by removing water from the wash tub at the end of each cycle, ensuring your clothes are properly drained before the spin cycle.

Causes of a bad drain pump can include blockages from debris such as coins, lint, or small items that escape from clothing, as well as motor or impeller damage. Electrical failures can also impair pump function, leading to inadequate water removal.

Symptoms of a bad Frigidaire Drain Pump include:

  • Water not draining completely from the washer
  • Unusual noises, like humming or buzzing, indicating the pump is struggling
  • Washer stopping mid-cycle
  • Water pooling around the base of the machine

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

For Frigidaire Frigidaire Drain Pump (Part Number: OEM17054127)

Sara for Model Number ATF6000FS2

Our drain pump melted, literally. Half of it is gone and there is a pool of plastic on the ground. We replaced the pump only to find out that the wiring harness connecting wires to the pump had also melted and part of the wires are exposed. I cannot find this wiring connection ANYWHERE online. Can you please help me find a model part and also with directions on how to replace it? I am guessing I need to replace the entire wires... Thanks in advance!

1 Answer

Sara, The connector itself is not available as a separate part and you would need to replace the wiring harness of the unit for this. The wiring harness part number will be 137104600.

Hello Craig. If the pump is running, then it does not sound like a pump issue. It sounds like the board may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. You will need to check the control board on the unit.

Al, With the unit not spinning then this will be most likely a faulty door switch. There is a spin enable switch that could be not working.

Robert Woods for Model Number Splendide WD802M

Splendide no longer manufacture my specific washer/dryer combo model WD802M drain pump (116590746TG). My plan is to try and make a comparable pump work in this application. Current pump is 110V with suction nipple at 1.7" OD and discharge nipple at 0.875" OD. The 2 questions I have are: 1. What are the power requirements and suction/discharge dimensions of the Electrolux 137221600 Washer Drain Pump Kit? 2. Do you have anything else comparable to the Splendide 116590746TG? The Spendide pump has the suction and discharge nipples 180 degrees apart. (similar to a drill pump) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can send you a picture of my current pump for reference. Please let me know.

Robert, The power requirements for the drain pump 137221600 would be 120 vac. As for the discharge and the suction we would not have the dimensions of that part.

Bruno, There are several possible reasons for a washer to not drain, one being the drain pump motor not operating. It could also be a clogged or kinked portion of the drain hose. or the tub to pump hose. And there is a possible problem in the timer or control board. A proper model number and an e mail address would be a lot more helpful to assisting you, with tests and procedures to diagnose the problem.

Kathy, The pump itself will only run as commanded to by the timer or control board whichever your unit has. In the spin cycle after the water has been pumped out and the unit is in spin, it will turn on and off. We would need to have the model number of the unit to be able to assist properly with your question.
