Dominic October 13, 2014 for Model Number GLWS1649AS4 On heavy loads, tub starts to spin before water is pumped out and it throws the water out of tub. Does not do it on medium loads. Checked pump and had no blockage. What would cause tub to spin before water was drained? Do pumps get weak over time?
1 Answer Hello Dominic. It could be a bad pressure switch and it thinks the water level is lower than it actually is. Read More...
Scott September 16, 2014 for Model Number LTF2940FS1 You have stated that the red rubber flapper check valve is not available as a separate part. My question is why is this so? A cynic might suggest that this is because there is more money to be made in selling an expensive pump than there is in selling a 96 cent piece of flat rubber. I reject this cynical answer because it seems inconsistent with your apparent customer service ethic, as evidenced by your furnishing videos to enable the handy to dispense with service technicians. Could it be that you feel that this part is easily broken if installed clumsily? If so, then please allow me to buy a half dozen of them, and I'll get it right eventually.
1 Answer Hello Scott! Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer the part separate from the pump assembly. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Read More...

Roberto A July 28, 2014 for Model Number FAFW3801LW3 My unit is not turning and draining the water on the rinse & spin cycle. Do u think it's the drain pump?
1 Answer Hello Roberto! Before you replace the pump, please look for any obstructions in the drain hose or something in the pump impeller preventing it from turning. If the unit is not draining, it will not spin, hope this helps! Read More...
Glen July 13, 2014 for Model Number ftw 3011kwo Machine drains when in whites cycle, when being filled. This happens with the hose down, but only in the whites cycle.
1 Answer Glen, The issue with the unit is most likely going to be caused by a sticking contact in the timer that is activating the drain pump. This would require the timer to be replaced. Read More...
Chris July 01, 2014 for Model Number GLWS1439FS1 Re. model GLWS1439FS1: The washing machine recently began to make a rapid rattle noise when the drain pump is emptying the tub, as if there is gravel inside the pump or something of that nature, altho the pump seems to be working effectively. What do you recommend? Thanks for your time!
1 Answer Hello Chris. You will need to access the pump and check and see if there is any debris in the pump causing the noise. If not, and the noise bothers you, you will need to replace the pump. Read More...
Keith April 28, 2014 for Model Number ATF6700FS1 My washer will power up but when I hit the star button it will stay on for a few seconds and shut off. I am getting error code 23 on the panel. I have replaced the main control board and still same problem. Is the pump next logical step?

Steve April 17, 2014 for Model Number GLWS1233AS2 Thanks for answering my question about my Frigidaire washer high pitch squealing noise during spin cycle. Its not the drain pump though. Cleaned it out still makes noise but only when there is a load in tub. Doesn't do it when empty. Thinking its upper bearing.
1 Answer Steve, If you haven't yet, check the belt 134511600 and Idler pulley assembly 131862900 they will make a high pitched squealing noise as well. If they check OK, then replace the tub bearing 3204405 and seal 5303279394. Read More...
Peter April 02, 2014 for Model Number 41793702201 My washer does not drain, I check electrical pump and drain pipe it is clean. The electrical pump is still o.k. What is wrong with my washer?
1 Answer Hello Peter. Test for power to the pump. If there is power there, and the filter is not clogged, you will need to replace the pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
