The Frigidaire Drain Pump is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It plays a crucial role in the washer's operation by removing water from the wash tub at the end of each cycle, ensuring your clothes are properly drained before the spin cycle.

Causes of a bad drain pump can include blockages from debris such as coins, lint, or small items that escape from clothing, as well as motor or impeller damage. Electrical failures can also impair pump function, leading to inadequate water removal.

Symptoms of a bad Frigidaire Drain Pump include:

  • Water not draining completely from the washer
  • Unusual noises, like humming or buzzing, indicating the pump is struggling
  • Washer stopping mid-cycle
  • Water pooling around the base of the machine

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Paige, You will need to open the back of the unit or if there is a lower front panel, open this and run the unit to see if you can determine where the leak is coming from. It could be the drain pump or one of the hoses.

Frustrated Lady for Model Number ATF7000ES0

My Affinity Front Load washer stopped draning. I ran the diagnostic test and had problems with Step 7--"Turn the program knob (6) clicks from the start position. The drain pump & door lock solenoid will activate and the washer will operate in high spin." The door locked, but the washer didn't operate in high spin--it did nothing. I removed the drain filter and cleaned out the cup in the boot. Checked the drain pump--IS THE IMPELLAR SUPPOSED TO SPIN FREELY WITHOUT ANY HITCH? Hope you can help!!!!

Frustrated lady, The impeller will not spin freely. The motor uses magnets so when you spin the impeller it should stop and kind of bounce. You will want to check to see if the motor of the drain pump is getting power to it. If it is then you have a bad pump and would need to replace the pump.

Hello Gary, I'm sorry but, this pump has to be replaced as an assembly since the manufacturer offers no replacement parts for the pump individually.

Art, The pump is one thing that could cuase the unit to not spin if it is not pumping all the water out of the unit. You will want to access the tech sheet and retrieve error codes that may be stored. These error codes will give you an idea on what is going on with unit and test to run.
