The Frigidaire Drain Pump is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It plays a crucial role in the washer's operation by removing water from the wash tub at the end of each cycle, ensuring your clothes are properly drained before the spin cycle.

Causes of a bad drain pump can include blockages from debris such as coins, lint, or small items that escape from clothing, as well as motor or impeller damage. Electrical failures can also impair pump function, leading to inadequate water removal.

Symptoms of a bad Frigidaire Drain Pump include:

  • Water not draining completely from the washer
  • Unusual noises, like humming or buzzing, indicating the pump is struggling
  • Washer stopping mid-cycle
  • Water pooling around the base of the machine

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Hello Rob. You need to make sure the water is not siphoning out of the unit and test the pressure switch 134680100 and timer on the unit. Either part will cause the issue you are having with the unit.

Hello Robin, Based on the information, you check the only hose and the pump would be the only thing that would cause the leak aside from a leak in the tub. Check the tub for cracks or worn marks. If good then replace pump.

Hello Chris, The most common issue with this model is the filter 137518800 inside the tub-to-pump hose 134455900 gets clogged with lint, change, and other debris from the wash. The hose has to be removed to access this filter and it absolutely must be put back in after cleaning it unless you want to buy a new drain pump the next go around.

Hello Jorge, You will want to check the circuit at the control. Check between connector P3 pin 6 and pin 8. You should have a resistance of 26 ohms. If you do not have 26 ohms then the pump is faulty. If you do have proper ohms then the control is faulty.

Hello Roger. You need to look for a bad hose on the unit. If all of the hoses are good, check and see if the pump is leaking. Also, make sure the drain pipe is not backing up and spilling into the floor.

Bryan for Model Number FAFW3577KW1

My dryer took on some water from the flood. It was on a pedestal so it didn't get too bad. Anyway, what happens is I choose my washer settings and press start. The water starts to fill for 3-5 seconds and then stops. Your tech Jordan reccommended starting by only replacing the water inlet valve, so I did. I still had the problem so I then ordered a new pressure switch, control board, and door lock assembly. All items were replaced. The washer is still doing the same thing. I just placed my fourth order with your company for a new drain pump assembly and motor speed control board. I don't know what else to do. The error code I was originally getting was E38 so that is why the tech reccommended a new pressure sensor. After replacing the control board the code I was geting was E59 No tacho signal for 3 seconds which means it could be the motor. I checked all connections on everything and the most recent code says E5E which is communication problem and it reccommends to replace either the control board, which I already did or the speed control board. So I just ordered a new speed control board and drain pump assembly. Can you please help me? I have soo much money tied up in replacement parts that I could almost go out and buy a new washer. This one is only 1.5 years old. Thank you for your help.

Hello Bryan. When a washer is damaged in a flood, it can cause all the parts on the unit to need to be replaced. If the new parts ordered didnt fix anything, you may need to replace the motor on the unit.
