1 Answer James, It would not be the regulator that is faulty but would be an issue with the oven safety valve that would the issue. Read More...
Rob V. H. January 29, 2018 for Model Number Fridgidaire Gas range. Natural gas. Gas oven doesn't maintain a consistent flame or heat. The broiler flame pulses or surges. Noticed when turning the burners on the broiler flame is more solid and steady. Does this sound like the pressure regulator?
1 Answer Hello Rob, While you should first have the utility board verify the correct pressure supplied to your unit, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can look at the configuration you have in your home and recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Jan January 19, 2018 for Model Number FGFL67DCE I purchased a gas regulator, and it is for natural gas and my oven is Propane. Do you have the right part?
1 Answer Hello Jan, yes the gas regulator would come from factory set for natural gas. You'll have to take the cap off, unscrew the nut and flip the nut over to LP and screw it back in. Hope this helps! Read More...
Curt October 24, 2017 for Model Number FFGS3025PSA Our gas oven has a gas smell, had the tech out and went online chat. The consensus was it could be the regulator or valve. Could it be anything else. And if I bought the regulator and valve could I return if it doesn't resolve the gas smell issue?
1 Answer Curt, With the gas smell coming from the oven then this will likely be a faulty oven gas valve 316031501. Read More...
Paul March 27, 2017 for Model Number GLGF388DBE When we turn the oven on there is no flame and we do not smell gas. But all of our Propane 5 stove top LP conversion jets/orifices work / with bright blue flame. Does the over have a pilot light? Do I need to turn on the oven to light it? It is a Frigidaire gas range model GLGF388DBE
1 Answer Hello Paul. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
April March 24, 2017 for Model Number FGFL79GSD I just bought the stove used and converted it to propane. I get a flame on one burner but when I turn it up it goes out. Could this be the gas regulator?

Kyle B March 22, 2017 for Model Number Frigidaire NF64024636 When in use, the oven is giving off to much CO (as measured by gas company and home alarm). The flame for baking and the broiler is less than 1/2 inch blue (half of what the oven manual says it should be). The gas company verified the pressure to house is adequate, and I cleaned bake burner. The stove burners appear to be working properly. Anything I can do to verify the regulator should be replaced?
1 Answer Kyle, If the unit is working on Lp then make sure that it was converted to LP and if it is on natural then need to make sure that it is set for natural. Adjust air shutters for cleaner burn and if all that is good replace the regulator. Read More...
Briana November 24, 2016 for Model Number FFGF3053LSL We have our oven converted to propane. We just turned it on. For the first time, 5 months after installation. Burners on range work fine. Flames from oven are about 4 inches high. Is this normal? Is there a way we can lower the flame?
1 Answer Briana, You will want to make sure that the oven was converted to LP. The orifices should be tightened down and the air shutter should be open all the way. There is no adjustment to the flames of the unit. Read More...
Matt P November 20, 2016 for Model Number Fgf328gmg I'm trying to convert to lp. My regulator does not have the part that turns around to switch to lp. Just a plug. What do I need to do?
Don October 30, 2016 for Model Number FGF337AUF I have a Fridgidaire range hooked to LP gas in my home. When I installed it I made sure to have the LP valve positioned correctly. Each time we use the oven or the burners, our pots and pans get black soot all over them and in side oven gets sooty as well. What can i do to combat this issue. I am assuming that the propane is feeding in too rich. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx
1 Answer Don, You will want to make sure that when you did the conversion that you replaced the orifice for the top and converted the oven by tightening down the orifice hoods and opening the air shutters. Also make sure that you flipped the cap on the regulator from NAT to LP. Read More...
