Tom April 17, 2020 for Model Number Tappan gas range circa 1952 tv63x16 Does anyone know where I can find a pressure regulator assembly and lines with clamps for 1/2 pathway? Range is in pristine condition and friend does NOT want to part with it. THANKS!
1 Answer Tom, unfortunately, the manufacturer is not showing a part listing for the model number provided. Read More...
Ronald February 22, 2020 for Model Number ET18GKXFN01 How do you adjust gas regulator for oven.Flames are way to high.
1 Answer Ronald, We will need to have the model number for the range to be able to assist properly. If you converted the unit to LP then the oven orifices need to be tightened 1 1/2 to 2 turns down and open the air shutters all the way. For the regulator, you would remove the brass cap and flip it over and reinstall it. Read More...
Stephen February 01, 2020 for Model Number Electrolux model # E30GF74HPS1 Ser#NF92516750 This Electrolux gas range was purchased in 2008. It had a faulty ignitor and that was replaced in 2009 under warranty. The oven is now sputtering when it is turned on. It makes a "put-put-put-put-put" kind of noise when turned on in BAKE mode. It will light but it has to go through the "put-put-put" cycle first. I got down and listened to it last time we had it lit and the noise was a very consistent and fast paced putting noise for at least several minutes. You can distinctly hear the initial "put-put-put-put-put" when it's lighting but I have to get down on the floor the hear the more rapid putting noise, once the oven is lit and heating. At any rate, it does not seem normal. My wife believes that the oven made this same noise when it had a faulty oven ignitor. I'm not so sure. I can see an orange glow when the oven is starting if I get down on the floor and look up. This is when the oven is starting. Anyway, wondering if you could provide some advice. Should I replace the ignitor or is it more likely to be the safety gas valve?
1 Answer Stephen, the safety valve 5303210798 can be tested for 3.2 to 3.6 VAC going to the safety valve from the ignitor. Once the ignitor reaches 1800°F surface temp, the ignitor should be allowing the voltage to reach the safety valve. If there is not a constant 3.2 to 3.6 VAC within 60 seconds, then the ignitor 5303935066 has weakened and this would certainly cause issues. Read More...
1 Answer Gerry, with the information you supplied, and no model number, the first check would be the oven burner igniter/glow bar [AP215041]. The igniter needs to draw 3.2 to 3.6 amps, or produce 3.2 to 3.6 VAC at the safety valve terminals in order to "open" the valve and release the fuel for ignition and heat. If the fuel isn't ignited the heat will not go past the 200 dgrs.F. setting in the display. Thanks. Read More...
Allen June 24, 2019 Propane stovetop. 1burner has good pressure, the other 3 low to very low flame. Igniters work fine. Would this be cause by bad regulator valve?
1 Answer Allen, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty gas pressure regulator. Read More...
James February 16, 2019 for Model Number LGGF3043KFP Why is my gas regulator different from the one you show? My stove is a Frigidaire set up for LP.
1 Answer Hello James, The manufacturer of the regulator 316091711 may have changed since the manufacture of your unit but they do the same job. The one shown has a gas stop that is removed from the bottom of the "plug" and is flipped over and snapped back onto the plug before it is reinstalled onto the regulator. The other style has a plug that is flipped over without any additional parts. The gas stop simply allows more natural gas or less LP gas to pass through for proper pressure regulation on the two types of gas for a proper gas flame height. Read More...
Bert E December 02, 2018 for Model Number 790.75233310 What do I need to convert my range from natural gas to propane
Joe March 28, 2018 for Model Number FGGF3054KFE I have a propane stove. We recently had natural gas installed. What do I need to do to convert the unit from propane to natural gas?
1 Answer Joe, To change this unit to natural you will need the orifices for the front left 316527500, left rear 316527513, center 316237902, right front 316527509, and right rear 316527504. For the oven you would need to loosen the orifices 1 1/2 to 2 turns and close the air shutter to where they are 3/4 way open. On the regulator you will need to flip the cap from LP to Natural. Jkay March 02, 2018 for Model Number GLGFZ386FCG The burners on my range make a whistling noise when on (doesn't matter which burner). Low flame, soft noise. High flame, loud noise. Any ideas what I should check? Thanks!
1 Answer Jkay, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty pressure regulator with all of the burners doing the same thing. Read More...
Titanbob February 26, 2018 for Model Number plgf389acb Our 11 year old Frigidaire propane oven is making a loud whooshing sound when heating, but not always. We've replaced the igniter and cleaned the burner assembly. When it happens it sounds as if too much air is entering the gas/air mix ratio. The air shutter on the burner is in its original position. There is no smell of propane but sometimes another odor exists during this event. Could the gas valve or regulator be faulty?
1 Answer Titanbob, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty oven safety valve which is part number 5303208499. Read More...
