James April 22, 2015 for Model Number FDB4315LFCO Noticed the lower spray arm one tip melted a few months back and I replaced it then, now a few months later the same thing happened again, the two tips of it melted again. Is there something else that is not working that could make it do this? I believe I installed the spray arm correctly. Maybe not? Any help would be appreciated.

Aaron June 16, 2013 I noticed my lower spray arm has melted which is why our dishes do not get clean. There is also water in the bottom of the dishwasher after it is complete. Is the large hole in the spray arm causing too much water to enter the inside or do I have a second problem? Will the new spray arm fix the excess water after dishwasher is completed its cycle?
1 Answer Aaron, You will definitely need a new spray arm but the water being left is a secondary issue. You will want to make sure that the drain is not clogged and nothing in the drain pump. Check the impeller to make sure that it is not damaged. Read More...

Kris March 20, 2012 for Model Number 58717149400 The right side of our lower spray arm melted and burned. What would be the cause? I just ordered a new spray arm but am concerned as to why it melted and burned? Pretty dangerous. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Kris. If the spray arm gets loose or tilts, it can touch the heater during the drying cycle and melt. This is not uncommon in dishwashers for this to happen. Over time, the spray arms 5304518927 wear down and become loose. You will need to replace the spray arm. Hope this helps. Read More...
