1 Answer Hello Paul, The E31 error code indicates a tha tthe pressure sensor is not communicating with the main control board. You will want to inspect the wiring between the pressure sensor and the Main control board. If the wiring is defective then correct wiring. If wiring ok then you would want to replace the pressure sensor and if this does not correct then the main board. Read More...

Steven January 06, 2013 for Model Number ATFB6000FSO Washer will not spin through the entire spin cycle. Washer will spin clothes slowly then when it starts to spin at full speed it only does it for a short time, about 30 sec to 1 min. clothes are still wet when spin cycle ends.
1 Answer Steven, It may not be the pressure switch, if it were, the washer would not attempt to spin. First check and insure the washer tub drains completely. Check the wiring between the motor and motor control board, if all's OK, then replace the motor control 134743500. Read More...
Bryan December 09, 2012 for Model Number GLTF2940FS2 When I start the washer, the door lock clicks, then I hear what sounds to be a valve clicking open and closed, but no water fills the tub, then the washer shuts off. I have replaced the door lock switch and the door latch, this did not fix the issue. Could this be the pressure switch, the pump, or the control board. Error code is E23. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Bryan, The E23 error code indicated that the Drain pump relay on board has failed or wire off pump. You would want to check the wiring to the drain pump and to the control board. If the wiring all looks good then you would want to replace main control board 137006000. Read More...
Bryan R September 11, 2012 for Model Number 134407800 Will a pressure switch keep the washer from going into final spin cycle?
Ron July 05, 2012 for Model Number fafw3511kwo Frigidaire front-load affinity. The pau code keeps coming up. I put it in a extra rinse cycle and it never came on and when it got to 1 min left it just kept going. I notice on a wash cycle it would speed to the left slow then back the other way but it spun fast in that extra rinse cycle but washing it will do that slow then pau code then kick off .... ?
1 Answer Hello Ron, ERR code on Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washer Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Some times it's almost like dealing with a computer. Tyr removing the control board and with the power on start unplugging every plug on the back until you hear a click, then try cancelling it. I believe it’s about the 3rd wire from the right,(interface connector). If you just paused the washer and now displays an error, try draining any existing water all out of the machine. Before refilling it see if you still get the error message. Wake up the washer by pressing any button then hold down start/pause and cancel for 5 seconds, it should show an error code. To clear latest stored error code: • Turn the Program Knob to the start position, Spin Only. • Press Start/Pause to start the cycle and save it. • Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. • Press Cancel again to turn on the LEDs. • Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Option and Start/Pause buttons until LEDs start sequentially chasing, then release buttons. • Turn the program knob clockwise 7 clicks from the Start Position. The control will signal the last error code. • Press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons for 3 seconds. The code will be cleared. • Exit Diagnostic Mode to return the washer to normal operation. a ) Unplug the power cord, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then reconnect the power cord OR b ) Turn the program knob clockwise 2 or 3 clicks after the Start Position. Press Options and Start/Pause buttons together for a few seconds until wash cycle LEDs appear. If the only thing that comes up on the display is PAU and every time you push any buttons it shows ERR and is the same after being unplugged you have a bad main control board. Thank You. Read More...
Mitch January 08, 2012 for Model Number AFTB6700FS0 Worked one day. Next you load and push controls and nothing, you can here some clicking noise. The water is on the pump is clear.
1 Answer Hello Mitch. Test and see if the door lock assembly 131763256 is locking and is getting power. If not, but there is power to it, you will need to replace the door lock assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Larry November 01, 2011 for Model Number ATF6000ES1 While troubleshooting a problem, I removed the hose from the "Switch - Pressure Part Number: AP4298882". I reconnected it and now the washer does not stop filling, which is a new problem. Talking to a local appliance parts guy, he said that there is a procedure for removing air from the hose before connecting it. Does anyone know how to do this properly? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Larry. You will need to make sure all the water is out of the tub assembly. Then, remove the pressure hose and blow through the hose and make sure it is clear. Then reinstall the hose onto the pressure switch 134762000. Hope this helps. Read More...
Craig July 12, 2011 for Model Number GLTF2940EE0 How do I check the pressure swith to see if it is good or bad.
1 Answer Hello Craig. The pressure switch 134762000 is mounted to the center bar under the top of the washer and controls the water level in the washer. The pressure switch is made up of a single pole double throw switch, but only contacts 1 and 2 are used, that is controlled by a bellow inside a sealed chamber. The chamber is connect by a hose to the air bell located at the bottom of the washer attached to the drain boot. Electrical power is applied to the pressure switch whenever the contacts of the door switch are closed. If the water level is below 1/2 inch from the bottom of the spin basket, contacts 1 to 2 of the pressure switch close applying power to one side of the hot and cold solenoids of the water valve and the bleach and softener solenoids of the dispenser. The other side of the solenoids are connected to neutral by a relay contacts on the control board. When the cycle calls for water, depending on the water temperature selected and the increment of the cycle, the control board connects one, two or three of the solenoid coils to neutral activating the water valve or dispenser solenoids. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
