This water level pressure switch senses tub water level through an air hose and signals the control when to stop filling and allow spin. Replacing a failed switch restores proper fill levels and reliable cycle progression. What it does:

  • Monitors water level via air pressure from the tub's air dome hose
  • Signals the control to start/stop filling at the correct level
  • Prevents overfilling and enables spin only when the tub is empty
  • Common symptoms: overfills or underfills, won't fill, keeps filling, won't advance or won't spin
What's included:
  • Pressure switch
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and water supply before servicing
  • Access the switch (typically under the top or rear panel) and release its mounting clip/screws
  • Transfer wires one at a time; move the air hose to the new switch and ensure a tight, unobstructed connection
  • Secure the switch and run a test fill/spin; inspect the air hose for kinks, cracks, or soap residue

Steven, It may not be the pressure switch, if it were, the washer would not attempt to spin. First check and insure the washer tub drains completely. Check the wiring between the motor and motor control board, if all's OK, then replace the motor control 134743500.

Hello Ron, ERR code on Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washer Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Some times it's almost like dealing with a computer. Tyr removing the control board and with the power on start unplugging every plug on the back until you hear a click, then try cancelling it. I believe it’s about the 3rd wire from the right,(interface connector). If you just paused the washer and now displays an error, try draining any existing water all out of the machine. Before refilling it see if you still get the error message. Wake up the washer by pressing any button then hold down start/pause and cancel for 5 seconds, it should show an error code. To clear latest stored error code: • Turn the Program Knob to the start position, Spin Only. • Press Start/Pause to start the cycle and save it. • Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. • Press Cancel again to turn on the LEDs. • Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Option and Start/Pause buttons until LEDs start sequentially chasing, then release buttons. • Turn the program knob clockwise 7 clicks from the Start Position. The control will signal the last error code. • Press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons for 3 seconds. The code will be cleared. • Exit Diagnostic Mode to return the washer to normal operation. a ) Unplug the power cord, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then reconnect the power cord OR b ) Turn the program knob clockwise 2 or 3 clicks after the Start Position. Press Options and Start/Pause buttons together for a few seconds until wash cycle LEDs appear. If the only thing that comes up on the display is PAU and every time you push any buttons it shows ERR and is the same after being unplugged you have a bad main control board. Thank You.

Hello Craig. The pressure switch 134762000 is mounted to the center bar under the top of the washer and controls the water level in the washer. The pressure switch is made up of a single pole double throw switch, but only contacts 1 and 2 are used, that is controlled by a bellow inside a sealed chamber. The chamber is connect by a hose to the air bell located at the bottom of the washer attached to the drain boot. Electrical power is applied to the pressure switch whenever the contacts of the door switch are closed. If the water level is below 1/2 inch from the bottom of the spin basket, contacts 1 to 2 of the pressure switch close applying power to one side of the hot and cold solenoids of the water valve and the bleach and softener solenoids of the dispenser. The other side of the solenoids are connected to neutral by a relay contacts on the control board. When the cycle calls for water, depending on the water temperature selected and the increment of the cycle, the control board connects one, two or three of the solenoid coils to neutral activating the water valve or dispenser solenoids. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
