Chuck February 05, 2013 for Model Number frigidaire FEQ1442ESO My dryer runs but does not heat, tech was out and looked at heating element andit checked fine. Before he left he was able to get it heating and it ran fine. The next day though it was back to the same condition of just spinnning the clothes with no heat? Could it be the thermal fuse, the thermostat, or the thermal cutoff???? i dont know what any of these are but been reading online for possible solutions. PLEASE help!!!!!
1 Answer Hello Chuck. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jeff January 19, 2013 for Model Number gleq2152es1 Dryer not turning on, the lights on front panel do blink but that's it.
1 Answer Hello Jeff, You will want to do a continuity check on the thermal fuses. If no continuity then the fuse is bad. Also check the door switch for continuity with door closed there should be continiuty. If not then the door switch is bad. Read More...
Neal January 14, 2013 for Model Number GLEQ2152ESC My dryer does not have power. I have checked the breaker and connection. The dryer is approx. 7 years old. Could this be the thermal limiter?

Nan January 08, 2013 I am receiving an e64 error code on my Frigidaire Afinity dryer. I replaced the thermal cutoff valve but that did not resolve the problem. I do not see a broken coil on the heater, and the dryer gets hot before the code appears. Could it be the heater coil or the limiter?
1 Answer Hello Nan, You will want to check to make sure that the heater coil when heated is not touching to ground or cutting circuit. Check heater and wiring. Read More...
Chuck December 31, 2012 for Model Number fex831fso Washer\dryer approx 5 years old When I press start button on dryer, it buzzes - then stops when I release the button, but does not come on. Can you help?
1 Answer Hello Chuck. Opent he dryer door and tape the door switch closed. The press the button and turn the drum by hand and see if the unit starts. If so, the motor is bad and will need to be replaced. If the buzzing is the end of cycle buzz, you will need to replace the timer on the unit. Read More...
Ethan December 30, 2012 for Model Number gler341as2 I need to know what do I need to take off in the back of my dryer to get to the thermal limiter Because my dryer has stopped heating
1 Answer Hello Ethan, You would access the thermal limiter on the heater assembly by lifting the main top on unit. To do this you would use a putty knife in between the main top and the cabinet of unit on either side. There are clips to depress and lift top. Once top is lifted the thermal fuse is at the back of the unit. Read More...
Rick December 28, 2012 for Model Number FER311FS0 My electric dryer wasn't heating so I replaced the heating element with a new one because the old one was visually broken. I thought that would have fixed it but (Still no heat) I replaced the high limit thermostat (I think its called anyhow) its located and mounted up above the heating element and now I have VERY limited heat(slightly warm) but nothing NEAR what it should be, theres no obstructions of any sort in the dryer so I know thats not a cause, I know theres correct voltage to the dryer also, what would you suggest next?
1 Answer Rick, You've pretty much coverred most heater issues. Are you sure you have 240 VAC at the element terminals, when the dryer is heating ? when you re constructed the dryer, are you sure the blower seal and the tumbler seal on the front panel were properly seated and sealing. and did you check to see if there was a clog or lint build up in the air duct, under the filter? Also check and make sure all the connections at the terminal block on the back of the dryer a proper and tight. Read More...
Shell December 26, 2012 for Model Number FDEB55RGS1 I have replaced the thermal limiter ,p/n 134120900 three times on this dryer. Am advised that there may be a restriction causing it to blow.I find no restrictions , having cleaned the fan blower wheel, duct, housing , and outside vent tube. This dryer does produce what seems to be an excessive amount of lint. Any suggestions? thanks, Shell
1 Answer Hello Shell. Try running the dryer without the vent attached and see if the limiter blows. If so, the cycling thermostat may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Ginger. The E64 error code is telling you that there is a problem with the heater You will need to take the dryer apart and check the heater circuit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
