Danny Boy December 27, 2013 for Model Number frigidaire fex831cs0 Have a Frigidaire dryer that the heat does not turn on at all. I heard that is can either be the element or possibly the thermal limiter. Is there any way I can easily check to see which one it is? Thank You
1 Answer Hello Danny boy. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Shelley E. November 01, 2013 for Model Number NMER336FSO Is the cycling thermostat and the thermal limiter the same thing?
1 Answer Hello Shelley! No, they are not the same. The cycling thermostat is located on the blower housing and is part number 131298300. The thermal limiter is also known as the thermal fuse and is located by the element, part number 134120900. Thanks. Read More...
Jill September 03, 2013 for Model Number AEQB6000ES2 Dryer starts drying, runs for maybe 4-5 minutes then says pause. When start is pushed again it will run for a couple of seconds than turn off again. It doesn't mater what drying cycle it is on it does the same thing. The lint has been cleaned in the lint trap and the duct work so I don't think that is the problem.
1 Answer Hello Jill. It sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Wm. J July 04, 2013 for Model Number AEQ7000ESI Frigidaire Infinity front load dryer Will a Thermo Limiter switch malfunction cause the dryer to get too hot? The top rear of the dryer gets too hot to the touch. Vents totally and completely clean and flow to outside vent is strong.
1 Answer WM. J. The cycling thermostat would cause the units heater to stay on to long and if the hi limit does not cut out then the unit will overheat. Read More...
James K June 25, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire NMGR336FSO I have a gas dryer and everything works except that the dryer will not heat up. Is this just the thermal limiter and what is the best way to test the one that is currently in the dryer? Do you have any recommendations on other pieces that I should check?
1 Answer Hello James. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Ben May 30, 2013 for Model Number AEQ7000CES1, LR35245 The dryer motor just humms, if I bypass the door switch, move the drum by hand, the motor then picks it up and continues to spin and operate
1 Answer Ben, If the dryer motor is not turning with the drum empty then the motor would be bad. If there are clothes in it and it is not starting then you will want to make sure that the unit is not overloaded. If not then the motor would be the problem. Read More...
Frank April 13, 2013 for Model Number agqb6400fs1 My dryer timer won't shut off my dryer. It goes down to 0 and keeps going.
1 Answer Frank, The dryer not stopping when it gets to 0 would indicate a stuck motor relay on the control board and the control board 134557200NH would need to be replaced. Read More...
