Nickster March 13, 2014 for Model Number Fphd2491kfo How do I replace the center water sprayer on the upper rack?
1 Answer Nickster, To replace the middle spray arm you will do the following: 1. Remove upper rack and place rack upside down on a flat surface. 2. Place blade of a very thin putty knife between retaining ring and center spray arm. Lightly twist knife to lift arm from retaining ring. 3. Remove manifold from rack by compressing tube retainer clips and sliding tube backwards to clear front mount. Reverse this procedure to reattach manifold. 4. To reinstall arm, place both halves of retaining ring onto manifold. Place center spray arm over retaining clips and press into place. 5. After replacing rack in tub, reinstall rail end caps. James E October 09, 2013 for Model Number GLD3450RDS0 The spray arm No. 24A has come apart from the back of the washer. There is only a hole with a flat rubber piece with no way to reattach the arm to the water hole. There is a gray rubber seal on the spray arm but there is nothing to attached it to. Is this seal glued to the rubber piece on the back of the washer or did a connecting part come loose and is lost ? If they are glued what should i use to repair it ?
1 Answer Hello James. The spray arm A01986801 attaches to the bottom of the upper rack assembly. If the tabs are broke, you will need to order a new spray arm for the unit. Read More...
Dave September 25, 2013 for Model Number PLD2850RDC0 I have a Frigidaire Model PLD2850RDC0 dishwasher. The middle spray arm has become detached. When I try to attach it to the tines of the upper rack, the rear clip will not reach the tines of the upper rack because the oval part at the back of the arm hits bottom wire rail all the way at the back of the rack. Is there some great force required (or bending of tines on the rack) to get the arm to clip onto the rack? Thanks!
1 Answer Dave, You would need to use force to install the middle spray arm onto the upper rack. Read More...
Jess August 23, 2013 for Model Number FDB4315LFB0 My question is about the spinning arm that goes under the top rack. The arm is still attached to the rack, but the piece that spins the water out was laying in the dishwasher when we moved into a new house. How does the piece that sprays attach to the arm? It doesnt screw on. I feel like maybe its missing a piece that attaches in the middle. The piece I am referring to is part AP3773587. What keeps these two pieces together in the middle? Thanks!!
1 Answer Jess, The spray arm and tube would be pressed together and if they cam detached from one another then you would need to replace the spray arm A01986801. Read More...
Tracy July 28, 2013 for Model Number FDB1500LFS2 Dishwasher was dismantled and now middle spray arm (part no 154468502) does not connect to back of dishwasher. Jan April 27, 2013 for Model Number GLD2250RDB0 I have a dishwasher Frigidaire model # GLD2250RDB0. I have replaced the spray arm unit once, a few years ago. Now the spray are will not turn during wash cycle. It is getting water to it, and we have checked the seal on it. But it will not turn during the cycles. Do you have any other ideas as to what might cause this problem? Thanks for your assistance.
1 Answer Jan, You will want to check to make sure that the check ball is moving freely and allowing the unit to push enough water to the upper spray arm. The spray arm may be getting water to it but if there is not enough pressure then it will not allow it to turn. Also check to make sure that the holes on the spray arm are not clogged. Read More...

Robert January 26, 2013 for Model Number 587.16252402 In this rental unit the Kenmore "Quietguard" DW suddenly began making loud noises. The sump strainer was improperly installed and had allowed broken glass to block the vanes of the motor impeller lowering output and causing cavitation. During the process the upper wash arm appears (even with the now quiet and properly pumping motor) not to be turning. QUESTION : if everything is clear and unblocked, can friction built by wear over time be preventing rotation, or should these wash arms rotate until they fall off ?? The top sprayer disc is working fine.
1 Answer Hello Robert, If the upper spray arm is getting water to it and the spray arm is not turning then you would need to check to make sure that there is nothing clogging spray arm causing it to turn. If it checks ok then you will want to replace spray arm. Read More...
