Carol, This issue would not be in the belt especially if the unit is agitating. You will want to check the motor for a flashing light and the flashing light may indicate an error code which will be listed on the tech sheet located in the control panel.

The original symptom was the Washer "hung" at 9 minutes remaining with each wash cycle, and wouldn't spin. The Drum would turn normally during washing cycles. After being stuck for a while at 9 min, it would throw an LE code for a hung motor. If I ran the diagnostic on it, it would spin at all speeds (options 1, 2, and 3 on the QC Test) with an empty Drum. I put a few articles of wet clothing in it (2 actually) and it wouldn't spin at all with the weight on the Drum. We left on a vacation the next day, and a person watching our house tried to do a load since he was unaware of the issue. He said there was an electrical burning smell from the Washer, the Drum never started to move, and the Washer did an auto-shutoff. The power would not return. When I got home, I tried to turn the Drum by hand from inside the lid and it was locked up. I pulled the Rotor off of the original Stator and needed a small pry bar to do so. The Rotor had electrical burn marks (white) on one 1/4 of the magnets in a group, and exactly opposite of these burn marks was black, thick gunk markings on the magnets on the opposite 1/4. All 6 bolts holding the Stator on were very loose and sticking out about 1/4" each (lock washers were wobbling). I purchased a new Stator at a local Appliance Parts store, but could not get a new Rotor without ordering it. The Stator has a new Hall Sensor on it. I took the original Rotor and lightly sanded down the discrepancies on it with 150 grit sandpaper in order to rid it of the electrical burn marks and the black gunk. With all parts back together (and Loc-Tite as well as greater separation on the lock washers thanks to pliers), the Drum spins freely with some resistance. I'm guessing this resistance is due to the Stator and Rotor with the electro-magnet resistance. The Rotor does not seem to be warped when I spin it, as I cannot hear any odd rubbing sound or metal-on-metal when I spin the Drum. I have also replaced the Main Board due to the power issues. With power now back to the Washer, I have an intermittent tE error, which seems to be coming from the new Main Board itself since I can push in on the connector (BL/WH/BR wires) and the tE will disappear. The wires are intact and checked. My biggest issue is (with the tE error gone), the Drum will now NOT move at all under power. The motor assy will hum as if it wants to move, and the Drum will actually move about 1/8" initially but that's it. Any ideas?

Keith, You will want to replace the rotor assembly, due to compromise of the magnet from being sanded, even though it was just lightly. There is also a possibility that the control board has been compromised again and you may also want to check the wiring harness between the board and the motor as this could have cause the initial problem. Also check the drum with the rotor off to see if the drum rotates freely.

Hello Jim, You should check the motor WH20X10093 for smooth-ness when turned by hand and the belt off. If no problem is found, the shaft and tube assembly WH38X10017 will need to be replaced.

Hello Cameron. You need to check and see if the motor mount is rubbing the base. If so, the top apron is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Hello Chester. These are hard to do. The best way is to remove the complete assembly from the cabinet and then flip it over to install the belt. Then you start the belt onto the small motor pulley and roll it onto the large pulley on the unit. These are very tight and will slip off and you will have to start over again. But once you get it on there, it is there and wont slip off.

Hello Melissa. Based on the model number you provided, WH01X10302 is the correct belt. You will need to make sure you are installing it correctly on the unit. Also, the belt is very tight on the two pulleys. Hope this helps.
