Jh Hur February 17, 2016 for Model Number PDS22MFSAWW My refrig went to dead yesterday. It works only the lights for both top and bottom. I found the temperature setting control panel on the top inside went power off. So I am wondering this could be cause of the main control board is bad? Please help.. Thanks.
1 Answer JH Hur, The most likely cause for the unit going completely dead with only the lights working would be a failed main control board WR55X10942C. Read More...
Jim B February 13, 2016 for Model Number GSH22JFXABB We were having problems with the Freezer melting ice cream and freezing up with ice and large amounts of frost. The refrigerator was freezing liquids and vegetables. I replaced both Thermistors and the Defrost limiter Thermostat since I was already in the back panel of the freezer. The freezer works perfectly the best in years. The refrigerator worked fine at the "3" setting but when we tried to ratchet it up to "5" normal, it freezes liquids, etc. again at the 4 setting. What's the next logical step?
1 Answer Jim, With having already replaced the thermistors and still having the same issue then the most likely cause for this will be a faulty main control board which is WR55X10942C. Read More...

Renato February 08, 2016 for Model Number GLZQETA GS I live in Brazil and my ice maker stainless steel side by side GE refigerator had its control board burned . The refrigerator was made in Mexico. This replacement part wasn't find in Brazil. The number of the control board removed from the refrigerator is 200D4852G024. The GE technical assistance in Brazil gave me the part number WIWR 200D6221G014 for the same spare part. I will go to Miami next week . Is it possible to find this control board there? I read in a chat of customers of GE refrigerators that the control board WR55X10942 fits on GLZQETA GS refrigerator model. Is it correct? I'd like your answer asap . Thanks

Megan S January 31, 2016 for Model Number GSS25LGPA WW Lights are on but, the controls lights are not and the refrigerator is not running. Would this be the control board? We don't hear a clicking noise.
1 Answer Megan, You're probably on target, the main control board WR55X10942C is the more likely problem. to be sure, you could lower the control panel in the refrigerator, disconnect the J1 wire harness, with a multi meter check for 13 VDC across the J1-1 black and the J1-2 red wires in the connector if you have the voltage, the main board is OK and you'll need the customer display board, if no voltage, you have a bad main control board or loose/broken wire. J.C. January 21, 2016 for Model Number GSL25IFRFBS January 21, 2016 Will not cycle when set temperature is reached, 0 in freezer and 31 in fresh food compartment. When temperature calls for the unit to cycle back on, the compressor and the condenser fan start up. The evaporator fan never starts back up. Unplug the unit and leave it unplugged for 10 to 15 minutes and plug back up and all motors start up and the compartments cool to set temperature. Have replaced the condenser fan motor, the evaporator fan motor and the main control board. Still have the problem. What are other things I need to troubleshoot to resolve this issue. 1 Answer Hello Adith. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
