Daniel January 08, 2015 for Model Number PSC23NGNABB My fridge is cold but not freezing, I ordered one your of control boards, but its still the same. have u any suggestions?
1 Answer Daniel, Check the auto damper WR49X10091 and make sure the door isn't stuck in a partially closed position. Check and make sure the temperature sensors(thermistors) in the wall aren't blocked by articles on the shelves. Then check the freezer evaporator fan motor, make sure it isn't stuck in a low speed circuit and operating properly. Variable speed fans can become erratic, or run in a low speed, and can't circulate the air properly. Read More...
Chris January 01, 2015 for Model Number gss25lspa I have a refrigerator that won't cool or freeze, the fans and compressor are working
1 Answer Chris, If the fans and compressor are working, then the issue would be a restriction or a loss of refrigerant in the sealed system of the refrigerator. You'll need to remove the evaporator cover (freezer back wall) and check for a smooth even frost pattern on all the evaporator coils. A partial pattern would indicate a restriction, and no frost pattern would indicate a loss of refrigerant. Read More...
El December 26, 2014 for Model Number DSF25KGTBBG Hi, frig not running can hear fan, only cool inside both sides. Tried to increase temp, nothing, tried door alarm only light is on panel, put in turbo, only id. Light is on, is it the main control board? If so what is the part # I will need to get, if not?????????? Thanks
1 Answer El, Based on the information it sounds like with not being able to adjust temps and only one light being on the panel and unit not cooling would be an issue of a faulty main control board. The part number for the control board is WR55X10942C. Read More...
Felix December 23, 2014 for Model Number AP4436216 Hi. I have an Artica GE Refrigerator, PSC23MGMB WW, with a motherboard with this numbers printed on it: 200D2260G007. I was searching in internet and I understood that AP4436216 has the number 200D2260G008, so I am not sure if I can buy AP4436216 ( 200D2260G008) instead of 200D2260G007 ( ...G007 has less elements on pictures than ....G008). Does ....G008 ( AP4436216) work in the same way as ...G007, in PSC23MGMB WW?
1 Answer Hello Felix. Based on the model number you provided, WR55X10942C is the correct control board. Read More...
Claude H. December 12, 2014 for Model Number GSS25WSTISS The GE side by side is working fine except the control panel does not work at all . ice maker is working fine but will not dispense ice. temperature control and all other controls will not work. all lights on the control panel are out also. Tried rebooting the Refrigerator but no luck. Problem the mother board? or fuse ?
1 Answer Claude, first off there's no fuse in the dispenser or control circuits. Your first check should be at the freezer door hinge. Check and make sure the wiring harness at the hinge isn't damaged, doesn't have any loose connections, or discoloration inside the connector. If all's OK, then replace the "mother board" WR55X10942C. Skipper November 30, 2014 I have a circuit board ordered for my GE refrigerator that has been stored in a outside storage building for a year and I am working on it in my car port. Are there any precautions I should take before I plug it in after installing the new circuit board? Does ambient temperature or the fact that it has been stored for a year affect operation?
Lance November 29, 2014 for Model Number PSF26NGTABB GE Profile Side by Side, everything is working except the ice maker, no cubed or crushed ice. Water does work, and ice is being made and expelled into the bucket properly, but when in cubed or crushed mode, with the actuator down nothing happens. Flapper solenoid does seem to release tension and if manually popped open it closes several seconds after releasing the flapper which seems like normal function. Just tried replacing the motor and no luck, tested the old motor and it was working indeed working fine. Is this a main board issue or could it be the dispenser control board? Since water is working I'm leaning toward main board, but is there anything else it could be? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Lance, With the water working but the auger motor not then it would be caused by a faulty main control board. Read More...
Stevo November 24, 2014 for Model Number PDS22MCPACC The fridge temp is 47 and bottom freezer is -8. Had the control board replaced once back on 7/13/12. Is this the same problem?
1 Answer Hello Stevo. You need to check for a defrost issue in the unit. If you have one, test the heater, thermostat, and board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Wade November 20, 2014 for Model Number PFS22MISBBB Neither the refrigerator or freezer will cool. compressor seems to be running. what are the most likely candidates is causing it to not operate properly. I disconnected the power and waited 10 seconds then plugging it back in. temperature thermostat went to 61degrees. This may be a trouble, not sure
1 Answer Hello Wade. If the compressor is running and the unit is not cooling, you will need to have an HVAC tech repair the unit. You have a sealed system issue. Read More...
