For Ge Refrigerator Main Control Board (Part Number: OEM21564309)

Daniel, Check the auto damper WR49X10091 and make sure the door isn't stuck in a partially closed position. Check and make sure the temperature sensors(thermistors) in the wall aren't blocked by articles on the shelves. Then check the freezer evaporator fan motor, make sure it isn't stuck in a low speed circuit and operating properly. Variable speed fans can become erratic, or run in a low speed, and can't circulate the air properly.

Chris, If the fans and compressor are working, then the issue would be a restriction or a loss of refrigerant in the sealed system of the refrigerator. You'll need to remove the evaporator cover (freezer back wall) and check for a smooth even frost pattern on all the evaporator coils. A partial pattern would indicate a restriction, and no frost pattern would indicate a loss of refrigerant.

El, Based on the information it sounds like with not being able to adjust temps and only one light being on the panel and unit not cooling would be an issue of a faulty main control board. The part number for the control board is WR55X10942C.

Claude, first off there's no fuse in the dispenser or control circuits. Your first check should be at the freezer door hinge. Check and make sure the wiring harness at the hinge isn't damaged, doesn't have any loose connections, or discoloration inside the connector. If all's OK, then replace the "mother board" WR55X10942C.

Lance for Model Number PSF26NGTABB

GE Profile Side by Side, everything is working except the ice maker, no cubed or crushed ice. Water does work, and ice is being made and expelled into the bucket properly, but when in cubed or crushed mode, with the actuator down nothing happens. Flapper solenoid does seem to release tension and if manually popped open it closes several seconds after releasing the flapper which seems like normal function. Just tried replacing the motor and no luck, tested the old motor and it was working indeed working fine. Is this a main board issue or could it be the dispenser control board? Since water is working I'm leaning toward main board, but is there anything else it could be? Thanks in advance.

Lance, With the water working but the auger motor not then it would be caused by a faulty main control board.

Hello Wade. If the compressor is running and the unit is not cooling, you will need to have an HVAC tech repair the unit. You have a sealed system issue.

Hello Kevin. You need to check the main board on the back of the unit. It will affect all these issues if bad.
