Hello Mik, You will need to check the defrost heater since it is the most common failure on this design. If it tests good with no frost build-up on the evaporator coils and the evaporator fan motor is running up to speed, you will need to check the damper for a frost build-up preventing air flow to the fresh food compartment. Don't forget to check the air return to the freezer compartment at the bottom of the fresh food compartment. Remember if frost is located in the damper area, the usual cause is a air leak at the ice dispense door or around one of the door seals.

Mike, There is another temperature sensor in your freezer compartment that might be faulty. The sensor that you replaced was for the defrost which would not have anything to do with temp dropping to -9. The resistance for your sensor at 0 degrees should be 42.2K ohms of resistance.

Hello Mike, If this is an ice ball at the point where the Freon lines enter the freezer compartment through the wall, the problem will either be a sealed system restriction or a Freon loss. This sort of issue will have to be corrected by a Freon authorized servicer.

Hello Kristie, The starting place on this is the wall outlet. You can plug a lamp or other electrical device into the wall outlet to see if it works. If power is there, I would go to the main control and check for 120Vac at the J-11 terminal. If the voltage is not there, there is an issue with the power cord. If it is there, check for 13Vdc on the J4-2 terminal to ground. If there, check for the same voltage on the J4-2 terminal to J4-1 which is neutral. A lack of this output in either case denotes a failed control board WR55X10942C.

LG, The most likely cause for this issue would be that the unit, when coming out of defrost, the fan is coming on before it is completed. This would be an issue with the main control board which is part number WR55X10942C.

Danny, You will want to check the frost pattern on the coils of your freezer compartment. If the coils have just a couple of lines that have frost on them then you have an issue with either a sealed system leak or a restriction.
