David August 03, 2013 for Model Number GSS25UFMDCC I have a GE side by side (GS25UFMDCC). the freezer coils are freezing up and refrig. side is warm. I have replace the top thermistor, the defrost sensor and the defrost heater coil. All lights work, fan in the freezer works. I have been told the the main circuit board needs replacing. Is this correct or is there something else I should check before going that route?

Pete August 02, 2013 for Model Number GSS22SGMB I have a GE refridgerator model GSS22GMB that will not cool or freeze. All of the fans and lights work. The compressor will not start or attempt to start. There is no voltage (0 VAC) at the leads going into the compressor relay. I've checked the compressor start capacitor and it is good (14.6 uf verses spec of 15.0). It sounds to me like the mother board is shot, do you concur? Thanks.

Johnny H July 26, 2013 for Model Number GSL25JFRF BS I just bought a mother board part wr55x10942 and it seems to have more pin connections for the wire harness do I just put the new board in and not connect anything to the pin terminals. Also can I use the old green ground wire with the push terminal off the old board rather than squezzing the new screw to the frame.

Lou July 26, 2013 for Model Number HSM25GFRESA I just bought the main control board because the other one burnt out. When I put the new one in, after about 2 minutes the same part that was burnt on the old one started to burn on the new one. Everything in the refrigerator turns on except the evaporator fan. Could the evaporator fan being defective cause the board to burn again.

John July 23, 2013 for Model Number GSH25JSTFSS side by side This refrigerator was in the house that I just bought and I knew that it was not working but told the previous owner to leave it anyway. After doing some reading and checking around it was decided that the main control board was bad and I got a new one. When I went to install it, much to my suprise the old one was not there! All of the wiring was intact so to the best of my ability I installed the new board. The panel on the door works and the fan comes on but after several hours, it does not seem to be cooling could I have possibly put wires in the wrong socket? the instructions are OK but not real specific.
