Tom February 28, 2015 for Model Number DPSE810GG7WT I have received and replaced the control board WE4M10004. The dryer seems to be working just fine. The only problem is that I am getting different times on specific cycles. All times on the right hand side of the dial are correct. ie: 10 = 10 min, 50 = 50 min, 80 = min. On the left side I am getting different times. I.e. the Easy Care cycle was 21 minutes, now it is 54 minutes. Did GE change the minutes in the different cycles? Now the Cotton = 65 minutes, Easy Care = 54 min., Delicates = 15 min., Mixed load = 58 min., Anti Bacterial = 2H, Dryel = 30 min, Knits = 26 min., Towels = 67 min. What causes the different times? Did GE change the times with a new revision of the control board?
1 Answer Tom, With this unit the times would be preset by the factory. We do not have information on what the drying times for this control board should be. The times that you are listing would sound like a normal drying time for the items listed. Read More...
Dg January 05, 2015 for Model Number DPSE810GG1WT After troubleshooting/continuity testing, I removed the board asm and saw that a section was fried. I just purchased and installed a new board (WE04M10004) from you/AppliancePartsPros. I put the dryer back together but will not start. The panel flashes "88".
1 Answer Dg, You will want to double check all of your connections and make sure that everything is connected properly. We are not seeing anything about the display flashing 88 but it could indicate that the control board is faulty. Read More...
Brian S August 27, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810GG7WT Push start. Hear click. Display appears that dryer has started and is running. But nothing happens: no blower, no drum, no flame. Which part is likely the culprit? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Brian. Check the belt, door switch, and the thermal fuse on the unit. Either can cause the issue you are having. Read More...
Susan July 20, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810GG1WT Dryer timer goes to zero at end of cycle, buzzer sounds but the drum keeps turning until I open the dryer door or hold down the start button. What could cause this?
1 Answer Susan, First, check and make sure the extended tumble option has not been selected. This would create the scenario you're describing. If the extended tumble is not the issue, the problem would be in the control board WE04M10004, and it would need to be replaced. Read More...
Bkd March 04, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810EG0WT Hello I have a GE profile dryer that is not getting hot. I took the dryer apart and vacumed and blew all lint and dust. I also cleaned the vent line. I checked both heat coils and they were 19 ohms. The 3 sensors behind the drum all measured less than 1 ohm. The thermistor on the blower measured 110 K ohm as the charts gave. The other sensor on the blower measured less than 1 ohm as well. BTW the heat strip does come on for a brief moment then it switches off. I have run out of things to try except the control board. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Hello BKD. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Harold February 18, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810EG6WT The dryer panel works fine but it won't start when you hit the start switch. Sometimes if you hit the start switch multiple times it will start. When it starts it runs and cycles fine. Do I need to replace the control planel ( which seems to have the start switch attached) or is there somwhere else I need to look? Thanks, Harold
1 Answer Hello Harold. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board WE04M10004 will need to be replaced in the unit. Read More...
Mike Kay January 03, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810EG0WT GE profile electric dryer I purchased the control board from ApplicancepartsPro (WE4M369) and replaced in my dryer. Seems to be working except that when the stop button is pressed, the display starts cycling these letters: P PA AU US SE E and stays in this mode until a new cycle is started or power is turned off (3 seconds on button). How do I "reset" this? The previous board did not go into this mode.
1 Answer Mike, When you press stop and it goes to the pause setting, you will just need to cancel the cycle if the load is done or press start to resume the cycle. This is a normal operating feature of the unit. Read More...
Jerry October 21, 2013 for Model Number DPSE810EG5WT Power to the Dryer, But Sensing light flashes and Dryer does not come on. Dryer kept running a couple weeks ago, finally was able to shut off. I think the Control board is not working????
1 Answer Hello Jerry. Test the thermal fuse and the door switch on the unit. If both are good replace the board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Kathy September 13, 2012 for Model Number DPSE810EG7WT If the dryer timer lights up, and buzzing noise is heard, but nothing else happens, do I need a new control panel?
1 Answer Hi Kathy. Either something is stuck in the blower wheel part # WE16X20393 or if not, then the motor centrifugal switch is bad. It is internal with the motor part # WE17X22217. Thank You. Read More...
