The Broil Element is an OEM part for GE ovens. It is designed to provide the high heat necessary for broiling food, such as meats and vegetables, allowing for a quick cooking process that seals in flavors and creates a deliciously crispy exterior.

Causes of a bad Broil Element can include failure due to internal coil damage, burnout from excessive use, or electrical issues such as short circuits or loose connections that prevent it from heating.

Symptoms of a bad Broil Element include:

  • The oven not heating up to the set broil temperature.
  • Uneven cooking or browning of food.
  • No visible glow from the element during operation.

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Brad Johnson for Model Number JKP270J3AD

I need a replacement broiler (upper) element in my General Electric Wall-mount Oven. It has terminals that are secured with 1/4" hex-headed screws, NOT a slip (bayonet?) type termination. This GE oven has a "P7" on the control panel. If needed, its Serial Number is: VT603112G. I can't seem to find any cross-reference for the Model Number at left. If it helps, the Broiler Element mounting plate is stamped with: 240v./3410W 208V./2565W Thank you

Hello Cinny. For some reason your exact model number doesn't come on. I was able to locate a similar one and the part number for the broil element is AP2031021. The element should be supported by the brace attached to the ceiling with a couple of screws. In case if you are missing it here is the support p/n AP2010080. Thank you.
