Dan January 05, 2014 for Model Number GLD596ON1OSS Dishwasher is just over 4 years old. The soap quit dispensing from the container on the door. Initially the dishes were very spotted and then the door on the dispenser quit opening automatically. I am not sure if I need to change the dispenser or the motor and don't really want to spend money on parts that don't need changed. Thoughts? Thank you.

1 Answer Hello Raul, The door components are accessible by removing three screws from each side of inner door and two screws at the bottom of the door. Carefully separate the inner door panel from the outer door panel. Disconnect HMI and 3-digit connector to completely remove the outer door panel. The active vent flapper can be accessed by removing the screws on the fan housing. HMI must be reconnected prior to restoring power. You will see the back side of the dispenser assembly and there is one wire connector with two wires connected to it. The six screws will be removed to remove the old assembly. The unit has been working properly but when it needed rinse agent added I was not able to get the fluid to appear in the window that indicates the fluid level. Sam G October 07, 2013 for Model Number PDW9280looss Replaced soap dispenser and when I repowered the dishwasher all lights work and sequence correctly except the "start/reset" button. That button is dead. Figured a harness had come loose so I took out the door screws again and checked all wiring connections. All connections good. Replaced screws in door. Turned power back on to washer. All lights good except "start/reset". That button still dead. What do you suppose I could have done? Seemed like a simple job from the get-go.

Bill August 31, 2013 for Model Number PDWT580V00SS Installed around the 1st of June 2013. Rinse module (WD12X10163) has not worked since day one. Opened it up wires are connected. Connectors are not very willing to come apart. Look like simple spade connecters. Any way to test the module? Hate to order one if the problem is @ the main control. All other functions seem fine. I use powder, so I have not tested the auto liquid dispenser. Bill

Do a voltage test to the dispenser assembly from the control board and see if there is power from the control board to the dispenser. I just need to replace the spring of the hinge of the soap dispenser lid. Is this part available?
