Deepan December 28, 2012 for Model Number jtp86bf1bb Checked the microwave and all checked ok but the Fan TCO. The TCO did not show continuity. Would this cause the microwave not to work?
1 Answer Hello Deepan, If you are not getting power to control board then it would not be the fan TCO. The fan can cause the unit to not work properly but would still work. If the display has power in but no display then you would need to replace the control, Read More...
Steve December 19, 2012 for Model Number JVM1190wy 004 All convection and microwave functions do not work. Entering information from touch pad (numbers, functions) causes "clicks" to be heard from relay, and display to immediately show "pause". All 3 door switches tested good. Internal light, clock, sound level "beep", vent fan, do work. This failure was intermittent for several weeks then failed completely. What would be the most likely cause? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the key panel WB27X10071 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. It sounds like the panel has a button sticking on it. As you press the selections, it is commanded by the sticking button. If this is the case, the key panel will need to be replaced on the unit. Roger September 17, 2012 for Model Number JES1131GB001 The high voltage diode has zero continuity in either direction so I assume it is open. Correct? Everything else works but no heat. Thanks, Roger A.
1 Answer Hello Roger. A diode does not read continuity, it reads resistance and should only read in one direction. If the resistance is there and only one way, the diode is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jorge P. August 12, 2011 for Model Number JVM3670sk03 Microwave shows no power. Checked house breaker-ok. Check both internal fuses-ok. Checked thermostats with volt meter and thermostat #79 (from parts diagram) is open. Bridged connectors to this thermostat and still no power. Please Help.
1 Answer Hello Jorge. You will need to test and see if there is power coming out of the noise filter board WB02X11244. If not, there will be no power to the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Mike April 10, 2011 for Model Number ZMC1095SF03 Microwave does everything except heat up food items when on Micro Cook (lights, fan, timer and convection oven still work). I think it's a fuse to the magnetron or the magnetron. If it is the magnetron and I order it should I ge the diode too? Could it be the diode only? Is there a way to figure that out? Mike
1 Answer Hello Mike. If the magnetron is bad, it would be best to change the diode as well. You can test the diode, it should only read in one direction. If it reads both ways, it is bad. Hope this helps. Read More...
