The Door Latch Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. This part ensures the door of your dishwasher shut and locks securely. This part is integral for the safe and efficient operation of your appliance, as it helps to prevent water from leaking during cycles and ensures the dishwasher only runs when the door is properly closed.

Causes for door latch issues typically involve regular wear and tear, accidental damage from forceful use, or degradation of the latch's mechanical or electrical components.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning Door Latch Assembly include:

  • Difficulty in closing or locking the dishwasher door
  • The dishwasher not starting, indicating the door isn't recognized as securely latched
  • Water leakage around the door, suggesting an incomplete seal
  • Noticeable damage to the latch itself, impairing its function

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
