The Haliant Element is an OEM part for GE ranges. It is a high-performance radiant heating element used in the stovetop, designed to provide consistent and efficient heat for cooking. This element heats up quickly and delivers precise temperature control for various cooking tasks.

Over time, the Haliant element can wear out due to repeated heating and cooling cycles, physical damage, or electrical issues. When the element becomes faulty, it can significantly impact the range's cooking performance.

Symptoms of a bad Haliant element include:

  • The burner not heating up
  • Uneven heating or hot spots
  • Visible damage or breaks in the element
  • The element cycling on and off irregularly

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Keith, unfortunately, we do not have a replacement video showing this specific model. However, with the power cord unplugged, there will be a screw on each side of the console that will need to be removed. This will allow the console to lift and rotate towards the front so that it can be disconnected from the unit. There will be 6 screws that hold the console base in place that would need to be removed, along with the base. There will then be 4 screws (two on each side) securing the cooktop to brackets. Once these 4 screws are removed, the front of the cooktop will lift up enough to disconnect a wire from the bridge board. With the wire disconnected, the cooktop would be set back down and then slid forward so that the wires at the back can be disconnected, allowing the cooktop to be moved and placed onto a flat surface covered with a towel.

Juan, The elements will work the same way as the other and should take about the same amount of time. It is possible that there is an issue with the element.

Hello Dick, the infinite burner switch is part WB24T10162 the 3 ring element is part WB30T10126. Of the 2 parts the switch is the most likely to fail first but to check the burner the inner element ring would need to be tested with a multimeter.

Foster, if the bridge element is not operating but the larger burners do, the failure would be in the element WB30T10106. With the power supply cord unplugged, the element can be accessed by removing the screws located at the bottom front of the cooktop. Once these screws are removed, the cooktop can be slid forward and rotated to allow access to the element. It would be recommended that a picture of the wire connections is taken to assist with switching the wires.

Joe, it sounds more like the infinite switch, WB24T10162 is the problem. The contacts in the switch can get burned and corroded, thus affecting the operation of the element. The switch is what regulates the temperature of the element.
