Jack April 18, 2017 for Model Number JKP55SM2SS I have a GE in-wall double oven (JKP55SM2SS) and the control panel overlay buttons are cracked. The buttons work fine, but covering has completely worn away in several places. I want to order a replacement faceplate, but based on other answers this part is for a retrofit kit, and won't fit my existing oven. Where can I buy the original faceplate? If that's not an option, where can I buy the retrofit kit? Thanks! -Jack
1 Answer Jack, You will need to contact GE in regards to the retrofit kit that would be for your unit as it was under a factory rework. Read More...

Mishkag August 05, 2014 for Model Number JTP55SM1SS I have a GE double wall oven and need to replace just the "skin" on the cover where the buttons are. The controls work fine but the buttons have cracked and are peeling off. Will buying the part AP4484328 solve this problem? How do I remove the old skin? There are no instructions in the manuals on performing this task.
1 Answer Hello Mishka! If the faceplate we show matches what you have on then yes, you can use this part to replace your old one. When you peel the old one off, make sure the power is off and use rubbing alcohol to remove all of the original sticky stuff. This will allow the new faceplate to lay evenly and stick properly. After you have allowed ample time for the alcohol to fully dry, you can turn the power to the unit back on. Read More...
Isabelle February 17, 2014 for Model Number JKP55SM2SS Is this part just a skin to cover? Is it easy to install? I'm not afraid. I have two button covers no more so I am looking for a skin to fix it. Makes sense to me. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Isabelle, This WB27T11233 is a decorator panel that acts as a "skin" over the control. When you peel the old one off, make sure the power is off and use rubbing alcohol to remove all of the original sticky stuff. This will allow the new faceplate to lay evenly and stick properly.
