Jessica April 11, 2022 for Model Number PDT715SYNFS Our brand new dishwasher was just installed and it leaks. When investigating the cause we determined that the side trim is getting caught in the door so the door can't seal. How do I ensure that the trim doesn't get caught? It looks like bottom edge of the trim doesn't not go to the bottom so it gets caught up in the door when you try to close it.
1 Answer Jessica, This may be something to have the installers or a service to come out to repair since the unit is new. There is not really anything that you can do except be aware of it occuring and phyically make sure that it does not get caught. This may just need a new trim piece as it may be warped. Read More...
Alex March 15, 2021 for Model Number GDF535PGRBB My new dishwasher (model: GDF535PGRBB) didn't come with the black side panel/trim pieces. I have a 1/2" gap on either side. Any chance there is something that would help fill it in?
1 Answer Alex, Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have a side trim piece for your model dishwasher. You could try part number WD01X29479 which should work for your unit. Read More...
Cindy February 21, 2021 for Model Number Samsung DW80R706 I have a problem with black rubber side strips sticking out on the sides of my dishwasher. Can I trim them off? They look terrible. Our dishwasher opening is a pretty tight fit against the cabinets. There is nowhere for them to go. No room to push them back. Help!!!
1 Answer Cindy, I believe those strips might have screws if you fold back the lip you can remove them like that. They are simply spacers to fill gaps between your unit and cabinet so removing them is fine. Read More...
Lawless February 03, 2021 for Model Number GDT630PSMSS I purchased GDT630PYMFS and had it professionally installed. When the installer left, I noticed that there was about a 1inch 1/2 of black rubber hanging out on each side of the dishwasher. After using Google, I discovered that this was the "side gasket". It is not appealing to the eye for this to be hanging outside of my cabinetry. Was the dishwasher installed incorrectly? Should it be pushed back further? (The base of the dishwasher is flush with the cabinets, but the door extends out about an inch or so)...Can I trim it down? Take them off?... I need some advice. (My Installer hasn't gotten back to me yet)
1 Answer Lawless, If the side trim is able to be pushed back then just push it back and if it cannot then it can be trimmed. Read More...
Todd October 01, 2020 for Model Number CDT845P2NS1 Hello, We purchased a GE Cafe dishwasher. I don’t know how to use the top and side trims. The cabinet opening is 24 1/8th”. I’m unable to slide the dishwasher in place with the trim pieces installed. The trim pieces are 1 1/2 “ x 2 wide. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Todd, the top/side trims are for closing off the normal gap between the dishwasher tub and the cabinet opening. If the trim pieces are larger then the gap and cannot be altered to fit then they are not used. You may want to check the Installation Instructions that came with the dishwasher on this. Read More...

Andrew May 30, 2019 for Model Number GDWT160R05SS It appears my dishwasher has the side and top trim gaskets on the actual door. The dishwasher came with the home I purchased so not sure if something was done by the previous owner. The gaskets have worn and have recently started leaving water at the bottom of the dishwasher. Are there certain models that use these trim gaskets on the actual door itself? Or is mine incorrectly installed?
1 Answer Andrew, the trim pieces should not be attached to the door panel. They are meant to attach to the dishwasher tub. If water is not draining properly, you may want to check to ensure there are not any partial clogs in the drain hose. If the water is leaking out of the dishwasher then you may want to check the door gasket WD08X10032 for any signs of degradation or debris that could be causing it to improperly seal. Read More...

Lorraine November 07, 2018 I would like to know if this trim can be used on any GE dishwasher. I have GE GDT695SGJBB model and the trim is over an inch wide which is too wide. Can you please tell me how wide this trim is and if I can use it on my dishwasher?
Lorraine November 06, 2018 I have a brand new GE dishwasher model no. GDT695SGJBB but the side trim (rubber trim) is over an inch wide which is too wide because it prevents the drawers on the cabinet next to it from opening. Can I order part no. WD08X10055 or WD08X10054 to use instead? It doesn't look as wide.
1 Answer Lorraine, It does appear that these side trim pieces should work for your unit. Read More...
