Mark April 17, 2016 for Model Number GTWN4250D0WS What is the part number for my model GE washer (model #GTWN4250D0WS) for the inner tub mounting hub only? I tried looking this up on the GE website and can only find it paired with the "basket and hub" together.

Lois November 12, 2015 for Model Number WCSE4160B2WW The washer operates normally. When washing machine is spinning, it sounds like a jet. Replaced tub seal after a leak and replaced tub bearing, split ring ,tub bearing washer and hub washer. Used steel wool and emory cloth to smooth old tub mounting hub before assembling. Could the tub mounting hub be causing the loud noise? Would relacing the inner tub mounting hub help quiet it down?

Rick F October 22, 2015 for Model Number WHSE5240D0WW my GE machine was not spinning properly and makign horrible noise. I removed the agitator and noticed the sub base assembled was rotted through. I ordered a new one and had great difficulty removing the nut that holds the hub base but wd 40 did the trick after a while. After reconnecting evenything I testing the machine and the spin cycle is not coming on. Any ideas? It is possible the door lid magnet is not engaging? There was no wire harness clip to detach the door so it may have had some pressure on it
1 Answer Hello Rick. You will need to check the air dome, and pressure hose for clogs. Also, if both are good, you will need to check for a wiring issue. If it is good, then you will need to check the magnet and lid switch. You can remove the magnet and lay it on the switch to test it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Robbie October 09, 2015 for Model Number WJSR2070B4WW I think my washer is leaking at the basket hub assembly. Is their a gasket that goes there?
Jim August 31, 2015 for Model Number WNSE62080B2WW The drum mounting hub on my GE washer is currently in 2 pieces. There is also a ring of black grease lining the inner surface of the washer cabinet. I am not sure if a transmission failure caused the hub to fail or if the hub could have damaged the transmission. What is the best test to determine the health of the transmission? Could the grease be from a bearing? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Jim. You can look at the transmission and see if it is leaking the grease or if it came from the bad hub. If it is leaking, then the transmission will need to be replaced. Read More...
