David L August 03, 2014 for Model Number GNSR2090TAWW There is an odd noise coming from my washer during the wash cycle only. Your videos are great, the best I've seen when it comes to details on how to replace parts... But are you able to help me figure out what part I might need? The noise kinda sounds like gears and rattling at the same time, it might be the transmission... Though I did replace the transmission a few years ago... Maybe the new one has failed? Joke of it all is the old transmission didn't need to be replaced... So I'm trying to not make that mistake again. I have a video of the noise and the inside of the washing machine as it's happening. Is there a way I can send that to you so you have have a look? I just don't want to spend $200 on a new transmission only to find out it was something as simple as a clip after the fact.
1 Answer David, Since the issue is only happening in agitation, you should check to make sure that the agitator is not loose and check to make sure that agitator coupling is not damaged. Read More...

Linda June 08, 2014 for Model Number WDSR2080DBWW When removing the agitater coupler, I broke the bolt off inside. How can I fix this problem? The reason I was removing it was to see why my agitater stopped working.
1 Answer Hello Linda, You should be able to drill a small hole in the center of the bolt shaft and use an easy out to remove it. If this is successful all you will have to do is replace the screw. The manufacturer has made the screw only available by ordering the coupler kit WH49X10042. If this is not successful, the transmission assembly WH38X10002 will require replacement. Read More...
Randy April 29, 2014 for Model Number WWSE5240GWW When washer is agitating, wash or rinse cycle, it sounds like the drum is banging around but it doesn't make any noise in the spin cycle. Could this be worn out dampening straps or something else?
1 Answer Randy, You will want to pull the agitator and the agitator coupler and inspect the spline grooves to make sure that they are not work or chewed away. If they check ok then you will be looking at a bad mode shifter. Read More...

Tom Z February 01, 2014 for Model Number WWSE5420G1WW I had chat RE; Washer started to make loud whirring, whining type noise as the spin speed increases. Possible solution is to replace the Tub Bearing AP2045289 and Hub AP2047612. There is video showing how to replace the bearing but nothing on the Hub. Can you provide instructions or info on how to replace the Hub. Also is there any other possible cause? I don't want to do all the disassembly and assembly and find the problem still exists. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tom. When you remove the inner basket and parts to replace the bearing, you will have to remove the old hub. It just lifts out after the nut is removed. Then install the new part when reassembling the washer. If you replace both parts, it should fix the issue. However, if we are not there to check the unit, we can not guarantee it will repair the unit. Read More...
