Anne November 30, 2012 for Model Number GE heavy duty plus washer The washer will not spin out the clothes. We have checked all the hoses, and the lid switch is working. It will perform all steps, agitate, drain, but will not spin. The motor is working fine also. What else do we need to check?
1 Answer Hello Anne. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Bill July 27, 2012 for Model Number whdrr418gw Changed timer, lid switch checks ok, will not wash or spin. Drains ok. Old timer sticks.
1 Answer Hello Bill. You need to check and make sure the belt WH1X2026 is good on the unit. If so, you may have a bad motor WH20X10063 if there is power coming to the unit and the motor does not run. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Elias G. June 09, 2012 for Model Number whdsr209daww The washer is working until drain the water and when reach spin. The motor makes noise and I try to turn the motor to start and works. Washing not high speed ?
1 Answer Hi Elias. Remove the belt part # WH1X2026. If the motor stops squealing in the spin cycle then look inside the top of the tub inner and outer tub. Remove the top tub cover and look down in between with a flashlight to see if there is balled up small clothes stopping the spin effort. (overloaded condition). Make sure there is no debris in the belt , motor and lower transmission pulleys. Use paper towels and alcohol to clean the pulleys. Use a shop vac and disconnect the pump altogether. Make sure it is clear and that the drain pump impeller is not loosely spinning on the motor shaft . Pump part # WH23X10030. Is the upper spin bearing leaving traces of dirty water under the tub directly where the transmission shaft inserts into the tub. If so then the spin bearing part # WH2X1198 /tub seal part # WH02X10383 assy. needs replaced. Thank You. Read More...
Mike Gaeb November 05, 2011 for Model Number 175D2750G207 my washer starts goes through the wash cycle and drains but won't spin I by-passed the lid switch by tieing the two wires together should the spin cycle work now or not
1 Answer Mike, Yes, if you bypassed the lid switch properly, the spin cycle should operate properly, if the lid switch is the issue. The bypass has to be made at the harness connection for the lid switch, and on the side that the harness attaches to the timer assembly. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
