For Ge Water Filter Housing Assembly (Part Number: OEM20674668)

James for Model Number GSHS6PGYAESS

I have a 3 year old GE refrigerator (GSHS6PGYAESS) and the water dispenser will start to work but then after a couple seconds it will start to sputter like the water flow is being cut off. I can hear a noise from the rear of the fridge (like clicking and chugging) once it starts sputtering that sounds something like a pump trying to work but with nothing to pump. The problem was only once in a while at first but now its constant. Everything else, including the ice maker and dispenser, is functioning normally.

Paul for Model Number PSS26MSWASS

I have a GE Profile fridge model PSS26MSWASS It's started having problems lately with the in door water dispenser After a bunch of troubleshooting, i believe I have narrowed the problem down to the water filter housing assembly where the filter connects to the water line inside the refrigerator cabinet. Water pressure from the house is strong.. but coming from the return line of the filter, the pressure is a trickle.. We replaced the filter itself, to eliminate that as a problem. I am prepared to order a replacement assembly (AP4297349). When I was looking at the assembly on the fridge.. looking at it from the back (outside of the fridge), there is a metal cover which is appears to be stuck to the outer cabinet using adhesive or double stick tape, it also looks like some form of insulation or putty covering the opening through the refrigerator wall. My question: Is there a kit or sealant or some other item that i should order/use to insulate the opening around the filter assembly when I replace it? Thanks!
