Kathy S. July 21, 2017 for Model Number PDS22MFWACC I need part number WR17X11981, but it pulled up part number AP4297349 when I entered the above number. Is this a substitute for my part number? Will it fit my refrigerator? I want to make sure I am going to receive the correct part? The plastic water line on the back of my refrigerator that connects to my ice maker has cracked.
1 Answer Hello Kathy, This WR17X11981 is the correct part number for the water tube and filter head assembly. The AP number listed is the number we assign to the same part for inventory purposes. It is the same exact part. We only deal with factory authorized parts. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Bill November 21, 2016 for Model Number GE #PFS22MIWCBB Hi. The plastic water intake hose broke right at the connection from the metal joiner that it fits into. I saw your recommendation to another person who had the same problem and you recommended part #AP4297349. My question is whether that same part will work for my model?
1 Answer Bill, The water filter housing and tube assembly WR17X11981 will be the correct part for your unit. Read More...
Frank April 16, 2016 for Model Number CSS25USWASS My water line suddenly stopped working. It seems as though there is water at the filter but nothing at union at bottom of fridge. They recently flushed out the hydrant in front of my house which causes water to turn brown. Is it possible some contaminates got in the line? I changed filter with no difference. Thank You Frank
1 Answer Frank, It is possible that debris got in the line but if the icemaker is working and the dispenser is not and no water coming in at the bottom of the door then the water valve would be the most likely cause for this issue. If there is no water to ice or dispenser then the filter housing would most likely be the issue. Read More...
James M. December 31, 2015 for Model Number CSHS5UGXCSS I have a small leak where the tube connects to the water inlet valve, which is held together with the assembly's brass nut. Ideally, I would like to buy a short tube (5/16") with a similar shaped end/tit that I can couple with the good tubing on rest of the assembly, which works just fine. Are there any such tubes available? I just don't want to get stuck paying $50 for the full assembly, which I really don't need. Thanks
1 Answer Hello James, I'm sorry but there is not a connector made to fit the grey tube properly listed. You will need to order the assembly {AP4297349] to get the one recommended by the manufacturer. Read More...
Mike September 29, 2015 for Model Number pshf6tgxcdww Hello, I am becoming fustrated with my fridge. It slow quit making ice and the water on the door quit. So I did some research and found my problem "most likely" was the inlet water valve. 1. I bought a brand new filter even tho the other one was brand new. 2. Bought the valve wr57x10070 and just replaced it. I still have no water. I have water going to the line just fine. Now I'm being told it could be part #wr17x12203. 3. I failed to take a picture of the inlet valve for reference to each of the plugs. The red one has to go back in the same place, however the two white one I'm not sure about. Although the wires are bend into a certain shape dictating where they go. So I'm certain I have it hooked up correctly. Yet still no water. It clicks. And growls if holding the water trigger. Any help would be great, I'm about to give up here.
1 Answer Mike, It does sound like the water valve is reconnected properly and sounds like the water filter housing would need part number WR17X22072. Read More...
Pb March 02, 2015 for Model Number PSS26MSWCSS Help, refrigerator not making ice after replacing WR17X12203 filter housing.
1 Answer PB, You will want to pull the icemaker out and check to see if the fill tube that comes in the back of the freezer compartment is not frozen. This will be the most likely cause for the icemaker not making ice. Read More...
P.B. February 21, 2015 I have a refrigerator that requries a WR17X12203 Water Filter Housing replacement. The mswf filters are really expensive. I was wondering if I could replace it with a different housing say for a MWF/gwf filter instead?
1 Answer Hello P.B., I'm sorry but since we are not engineers, we cannot say that changing a part to one that is not recommended by the manufacturer will work. Read More...

Gus April 29, 2014 for Model Number PSF26MGWABB I ordered a Filter ASM and Tube part # WR17X12203 it was delevered today. I want to install it but there is no instructions. please advise where I can find instructions for installation of the part. Thank you. -Gus
1 Answer Hello Gus. Pull out the fridge and turn off the water. Then remove the lines that are a part of the filter head unit. Also, remove the cover on the back of the unit where the lines go into the cabinet. Next open the fresh food door and remove the cover on the filter head. You will see the screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and pull the unit out and install the new filter head in reverse order. Read More...
Gus April 24, 2014 for Model Number PSF26MGWABB We have a GE Profile refrigerator Model # (PSF26MGWABB) the water dispenser will start to work but then after a couple seconds it will start to sputter like the water flow is being cut off. Than it runs very slowly. We can hear a noise from the filter of the fridge (like clicking and chugging) or some kind of depressurize noise but the water flow does not improved at all. We have already replaced filters three times. The problem was only once in a while at first but now its constant. Everything else, including the ice maker and dispenser, is functioning normally. - Gus
1 Answer Hello Gus. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the filter housing WR17X22072 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
