Joe December 10, 2020 for Model Number JGBP79AEW1AA Can you do the broiler for the oven baking Will late is it worth fixing the stove
1 Answer Joe, You can't do broil in place of bake cause the broil doesn't maintain a constant temp like bake does. You would need to repair or replace in order to bake. Read More...
Randy November 13, 2020 for Model Number Nx58665 Samsung gas range My broiler and oven both quit working out of the blue. I have had a couple prior instances where oven didn’t reach set temp. Any ideas?
1 Answer Randy, The model number listed is not showing as being a complete model but it would be recommended to check to see if the igniters are coming on. If the igniters are coming on then test at the oven safety valve for 3.2 to 3.6 Vac. If there is proper voltage then the safety valve would be the issue and if there is not proper voltage then the igniters would be faulty. If the igniters are not coming on check to see if they are getting 120 Vac to them. If there is not 120 Vac to them then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Carol June 09, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore Model 362.75571690 (Gas) Oven will not come on igniter does not light up. Broiler work fine.
David May 05, 2020 for Model Number JGBP28 I have a GE Range GE JGBP28. The broiler comes on, but not the oven. So I decided to replace the oven igniter, part number WB2X9154. Once that was replaced, the oven still will not light. There is no glow on the igniter at all. What's my next step, check voltage on the wires to the oven igniter?
1 Answer David, Yes, check the power out from the control and then the wiring from the control to the ignitor. Read More...
Lary April 16, 2020 for Model Number JGRP20BEJBB I have a wall oven not warming up. Do you have any content of how to replace the igniter for a wall oven? I can't find any specific content about this but it looks similar to the video you have posted (but not exact) which leaves me a bit hesitant about the repair. Thank you for your help!
1 Answer Lary, with the power turned off to the wall oven, the oven racks would need to be removed. Once the oven racks are removed, there will be two screws in the back of the floor panel that would need to be taken out. From there, the floor panel will lift up at the back, slide slightly towards the rear panel, and then the entire floor panel should lift up and out. The original ignitor, once removed from the burner, will need to have the wires cut about 1" from the ignitor. The wires would then need to be stripped by about the same length as the new ignitor's bared wires. There should be two ceramic wire nuts that came with the new ignitor that would need to be used to secure the ignitor wires to the original wires. Read More...
Peggy March 28, 2020 for Model Number GE XL44 On my GE XL44 gas stove: top burners light fine, but my oven doesn't. I tested both the igniters, broiler and oven. Both have power and boiler igniter lights up, but oven igniter doesn't. Unfortunately, neither one ignites the flame. Thoughts? Thank you for your time.
1 Answer Peggy, if the full model number of your appliance could be provided in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Read More...
Wayne March 24, 2020 for Model Number Genwb2x9154 igniter oven- Jgbp30wev4ww GEXL44 317B6034 When you turn the oven on and the igniter glows to light the gas. Does the igniter turn off or does the igniter glow as long as the oven is on? An igniter on a furnace glow lights the gas then turns off.
1 Answer Wayne, yes, the igniter will remain energized as long as the oven needs to heat. The glow or radiance of the igniter will subside but will continue to glow in order to keep the safety valve bimetal open for heat. once the temperature is achieved, the power to the igniter will be removed, the igniter will cease to glow and the valve will close, until the temperature cycles down approximately 50 dgrs.F. then the ignition and bake process will repeat until the oven is turned off or canceled. Clark January 18, 2020 for Model Number JGBS23GEV2WH My ge xl44 oven not working but burners do how do I reset this
1 Answer Hello Clark, you'll want to verify the igniter is glowing bright. If its not glowing you'll want to test and see if you have ac volts present at the valve with the igniter turned on. If not present you'll want to replace the thermostat WB20K8, if present the igniter could be defective. Thanks! Read More...
