Don A. June 19, 2014 for Model Number JGBS15GER6WH We have a GE range whose oven will not light. A repairman told us it needs a thermocouple. The "Oven Pilot with Thermocouple", part number AP3886709 seems to be the correct part, but I need confirmation. BTW, it is using propane as fuel source. Please confirm, or suggest the correct part. Thank you..
1 Answer Don, the model number given does not use an oven pilot w/ thermocouple. The model given is an electronic ignition. I would check with the repairman to see if you needed the thermostat part number WB20K8 or oven igniter WB2X9154. Hope this helps you. Thanks. Read More...

Wilner December 10, 2013 for Model Number Whirpool "SF3020SKQ" The top portion of the stove works fine, however when I am using the oven, it turns on fine with nice and great flames but after a period of time it just turns off or (shut off). I does not matter if the food is ready or not. We like the gas stove but we would like to know if it is the thermocouple that needs to be replaced or another part Wilner.
1 Answer Hello Wilner. If you can start it back, it is the control board that needs to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Duane November 12, 2013 for Model Number rgb508pph3wh The pilot light on my oven is too big. I've burned up a couple thermocouples because of this. I've tried to adjust the small screw by the oven knob but it has no effect on the pilot flame. I have to order a new pilot assembly and would like to know if i need to order anything else to be able to adjust the pilot flame. This oven runs on propane.
1 Answer Duane, The adjustment to the pilot would be make using the pilot flame screw on the right hand side of the thermostat assembly. If this is not adjusting then you would want to replace the thermostat. Read More...

Raymond April 20, 2013 I have a fairly old Roper gas range, which, I believe, needs a pilot for the front, right burner. I have been considering locating the part myself and installing it myself. However, I'm not sure exactly how to install it safely and how to get the correct part. Can you help me to repair my gas range?
1 Answer Raymond, To properly assist you we will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Chris July 21, 2012 My oven pilot light refuses to stay lit for any substantial length of time. I can light it with a baton lighter and cook just fine. However, when the gas is turned off, (and sometimes even while cooking at lower temperatures), the pilot goes out. I think the problem is that it's not detecting the pilot flame correctly, and thus shutting down the gas to prevent what it thinks is a leak, but am not sure. Is that the thermocouple, or another part?
1 Answer Hello Chris, The thermostat WB20K10013, thermocouple and pilot WB16K10061 needs to be replaced to correct your issue. The thermostat is the safety valve on this model if the model you were looking at is correct. You didn't list the model number so I'm hoping the model you were looking at, (AGBS300PJ1WW). If this isn't your model number, you need to repost or look the parts up by the correct model number to get the correct replacement parts. Read More...
