Duke October 19, 2013 for Model Number PFS22S1SBSS I am trying to replace the overload relay. I cannot get it out of the unit that it is inserted in. I read some of the other comments and found that I should have purchased a P.t.c. + Olp AsmOEM which already has the relay in it. The one pictured for my refrigerator looks completely different than what I have. Am I looking at the wrong part or will it replace what I have? Do I need to also purchase the part that connects to the front of it? Why is the overload relay sold if it cannot be removed from the P.t.c. + Olp AsmOEM? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Duke, This is the overload and relay assembly and it is replacable. If the old one will not come off you may have had a poor electrical connection which welded the apparatus on the compressor pins. Use a screwdriver and pry the old one off. Make sure the pins do not have burned spots on them. If they do, they will have to be sanded until shiny. If not, the new part will not make connection and the unit may or may not run. The pin sticking up is for the capacitor to attach to and the slots are where it will plug in. The hot wire will connect to the bottom most terminal and the neutral to the one nearest the capacitor. The manufacturer determines what parts are and are not made available for purchase. PFS22SISBSS Read More...
Jared September 30, 2013 for Model Number pfs22miwaww Hello. I am looking for a replacement PTC relay for my GE Profile fridge model # PFS22MIWAWW. This PTC + OLP Asm OEM looks a lot like the part I am trying to replace. The PTC recommended is part number:AP3796509 or GE part # (WR07X10086) but it does not look like the same switch I need, plus there is no two slots for the capacitator on the AP3796509. What part do I need?
1 Answer Jared, If part number WR07X10097 matches what yours looks like the part that you have then you can use this part. Read More...
Al August 13, 2013 for Model Number pfs22sisss the condenser of my refrigerator is not running but I hear clicking coming out of it. Also the condenser fan turns very slow. Any suggestions on what needs to be fix?
1 Answer Hello Al, This is most likely a bad power supply on the main control board WR55X10942C. There could also be a bad start device caused by the board issue. AP4300623 Read More...

Ming July 29, 2013 for Model Number PFS22SISBSS Does the part WR07X10097 PLC/OLP assembly include the start relay? Or do I have to buy that part separately (WR08X10061)? Also, same question with the run capacity. Is that already in the assembly? Part Number WR62X79. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Ming! The PTC + OLP ASM part number WR07X10097 includes the start relay and the overload. The run capacitor part number WR55X24064 is not included. Thanks. Read More...
Tom July 05, 2013 for Model Number pfs22sisbss I just replaced the motherboard. Immediately, everything started working perfectly. Condenser fan started running normally, whereas it hardly moved before, compressor kicked in, fridge and freezer both started to cool. Cooled to set temps of 0/37. Came home and found unit acting just as it had before I replaced motherboard, except condenser fan is still running well. Clicking noise like compressor is trying to start, but nothing. Any ideas?
1 Answer Tom, If the compressor relay is clicking then you will want to unplug the unit and pull the relay WR07X10097 and shake it. If it rattles then the relay is faulty which would need to be replaced. Read More...

Hugo September 10, 2012 for Model Number PFS22SISBSS I have a GE model No PFS22SISBSS refrigerator that just went out. I have been reading different post and think its the relay switch. I hear a clicking sound followed by humming noise of the compressor trying to start then after 10 seconds relay clicks and humming stops. This happens about every 3 minutes. I also noticed the fan is turning really really slow, the compressor is hot. Prior to the fridge not working I noticed the side of the fridge was very hot and was struggling to keep the its normal temperatures for both top and bottom. I just wanted some input before I start ordering parts.
1 Answer Hello Hugo. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the main control board WR55X10942C is bad and may need to be replaced in the unit. Dan February 18, 2012 for Model Number GBS22KBSBWW I was reading some of the other questions and answers about parts. Here is my dilemma. Refrigerator wants to start but there is the clicking noise that I think is coming from the PTC & OLC Assembly, but then the refigerator eventually starts after 15-20 clicks. Do you think it is the motherboard, relay or PTC & OLB Assembly. Thanks
