Dan, With the inverter light not coming on but having power to it, this would be a inverter problem which would need to be replaced.

Jefferson for Model Number WPGT9360E0WW

My washer works fine. But when I don't use it for a few hours the washer doesn't power on. I'll unplug it, then start pressing the home and back button until I hear the relay starting to go crazy and clicking a lot, then I'll hit my machine on top of the area of the pcb and then the display/machine will finally turn on and start working. I've opened it up, and it is a relay on this board, is it possible to just change the relay or do I have to change the whole board?

1 Answer

Hello Jefferson. You must change the whole board. You can not just replace the relay.

Hello Erin, First unplug and re-connect all of the connections three or four times to clear any corrosion that may be corrupting the electrical connections and re-try. If no results, I would use a voltage indicator TJMA-49858A to see if voltage is being sent to the touch screen from the main PWB board. If so, replace the touchscreen WH12X10246. If not, replace the main PWB WH12X10281. Please disregard the compatibility tool. This is still in work and is not recognizing all model and part numbers so it is not a dependable tool at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Cookie. If there is power coming to the display, and it does not work, you will need to replace the display WH12X10246 on the unit.

Jay for Model Number WPGT9150H0WW

I have a GE Profile Washer that has stopped working. It will not power on. It is Model# WPGT9150H0WW. When I touch the power button nothing happens. I have followed the manufactorers guide and unplugged the machine in order to reset the electronics. This step worked a couple of weeks ago but not now. I believe the issue is either with the Display assembly or the powerboard but I don't know which one to order. If all the ligts are turned off in the laundry room and I attempt to turn the power on, a very faint green light is illuminated in the area of where the (signal button is that lets you know the cycle is completed). Other wise nothing lights up at all. If I unplug the washer I do hear a very faint click when the power goes away. My question is, which part is the likely culprit of this behavior? The Display assemble, WH12X10373 or the powerboard, WH12X10281? I don't want to order both parts unnecessarily.

1 Answer

Jay, With the display not working and there being a faint light to the board then the most likely cause for would be the Display board WH12X10373 being defective.

Hello Missy. Look for bad wiring and if none is found, then the inverter may be bad on the unit.
