Brian April 28, 2011 Hi. It's me again. In your answer to Claire, you said that the kit comes with everything we'll need, but there was no lubricant included. Does that mean that I should not apply any lubrication at all? I checked around on the internet and the consensus is that a rear dryer bearing should be lubricated with high-temperature grease or white lithium grease, some saying that they're both the same thing. What should I do? Thanks, again, for your kind assistance.
1 Answer Hello Brian. With the GE rear bearings, you do not need to lubricate the bearings. Everything you will need for the install is included in the kit. Hope this helps. Read More...

Claire April 17, 2011 for Model Number GE DDE5300VELWH My dryer, GE DDE5300VELWH Serial # TG2 57335G, has developed a squeak as it rotates. I have greased the bearing before and the squeak has disappeared for a while. There are metal filings collecting below the bearing at this point and I am thinking of replacing the bearing/bushing assembly... 2 things- Is this the correct kit for my dyer? Do I need any other parts to complete this repair?

Sandi April 11, 2011 for Model Number ds4500eb2ww Do the screws that attach the heat shield attach to this bearing. I removed the heat shield in order to clean a heavy build-up of lint which was causing a loud noise duing rotation. My huband put it back together as the the holes wouldn't line up right for me, and now it's screeching and almost smells like something is burning. Did I break my dryer? Can we fix this?
1 Answer Hello Sandi. The bearing support attaches to the heat shield. You may need to replace the kit, if it is making a loud noise. Hope this helps. Read More...
George March 03, 2011 How do I replace the rear bearing using this kit, AP2619300. I have a GE dryer model dpsq475et0ww. I don't see a way to take the back plate off.
1 Answer Hello George, You will need to access this from the front of the dryer. You will need to remove the dryer drum to get to these parts. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer If your model takes this bearing kit, then you should not have any rollers on the unit. The bearing will support the rear of the drum. The front is supported by a front bearing that has glides, such as WE3M26. Read More...
