Hanzo-San November 27, 2013 for Model Number DLL2650BPLWH After fixing a screeching blower wheel i have found a new terrible screeching scraping sound. it only happens when i turn the dryer on. If i rotate the drum manually it does not make the sound. Could this be the rear drum bearing? Everything else seems to be operating normally but the screeching is very loud.
1 Answer Hanzo-san, Yes the rear bearing could be the cause for the screeching noise but also check to make sure that the bearing slides at the front of the drum on the bulkhead are not missing or damaged. Read More...

1 Answer Dave, It is recommended to replace the glides at the same time that you replace the rear drum bearing. You could pull the front panel off the dryer to inspect the glides to make sure that they are not damaged but most likely the squeaking would be due to the rear bearings. Read More...
