Craig August 04, 2013 for Model Number DDE7500GALWH I am getting noise from the dryer, not stopping it from working, just loud.My question is this; are the only bearings for this unit the rear drum bearing and slides on the front of the cabinet? Also what are the correct part numbers for these parts?

Scott July 23, 2013 for Model Number GE DX2300EE1WW My Dryer is making what can only be described as a squeeking noise when it is running. It looks like one of the bearings may be to blame. What would be the first thing to replace or check?
1 Answer Hello Scott. It sounds like the front glides WE03X37318 and WE03X37317 and rear bearing WE25M40 will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Owen July 21, 2013 for Model Number DCVH515EFOWW My dryer is squeaking really bad. If you recommend the rear drum bearing to be replaced, should i go ahead and replace the belt, and front drum bearing? Also, do you recommend ordering the rear drum bearing kit and does the kit include the sleeve. I'm asking if these replacements should all be done since I have the dryer taken apart.
1 Answer Hello Owen, You are correct that the parts should all be replaced at once if you at all can. This is because if one part is worn excessively, it will cause abnormal wear and premature failure of the new parts. The front bearings hold the drum up to a level position. If they are not replaced, the drum will "lean" forward and the rear support bearing will not wear properly. The idler pulley should be replaced if it doesn't spin freely or if the pulley has "wobble" play in it. The belt should be replaced if it has dry rot cracks in it. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Dean. You need to check and see if the front bearings are bad or if the rear bearings are bad on the unit and causing the issue. Read More...
Matthew P June 30, 2013 for Model Number GE Dryer Model DRSR483ED2WW My dryer has developed a sqeal in a bearing can you please cross reference the OEM parts and let me know what I need to order. I assume it is the drum bearing but am not sure. Does this model have an idler on the belt? I cant think of anything else making the squeal other than a main bearing going bad. Thanks for your help. Matthew

1 Answer Eric, If the rear shaft wobbles back and forth you would want to replace the rear drum bearing kit WE25M40. Read More...

Mpinyan April 19, 2013 for Model Number DHDVH52EF0WW We recently replaced the front bearing, slide guides and felt in the front of my dryer because of a squeaking noise as it turned. Now it is making a loud thumping noise and my husband thinks it may be the rear bearing. We don't see any cracks or other damage on the drum on the inside or from the front. I just want to be sure of what to replace before I put much more money into this appliance. Thanks.
1 Answer Mpinyan, With the felt and slide glides just being replaced you will want to make sure that the drum is sitting properly in the cabinet. If it checks ok then the rear drum bearing WE25M40 is what you would want to replace. Read More...
Stephen R. April 15, 2013 for Model Number DPSB620EC4WW Does the rear bearing need to be lubricated when installed ? I don't see any grease in the bearing kit. If so what type of grease do you recommend. Thanks Steve
