For Ge Refrigerator Damper Assembly (Part Number: OEM11326794)

Randy, Yes, you could reset the control to a warmer temperature and see if the temperature changes, but give it 24 to 48 hours to adjust and the temperature equalizes. Thermistors usually don't "fail" so I would start by checking the damper assembly, as long as you're sure theres nothing blocking the thermistor covers and the air flow around the shelves is OK, if the temperature does reset. here's some basic help "The fresh food compartment fan is located under the upper ductwork in the fresh food compartment. This fan distributes cold air from the freezer via the mullion damper. The mullion damper is located in the same assembly as the fan. Both are controlled by the processor. 1. Remove the deli fresh adjusting knob and light cover. 2. Unlock the upper and lower locking tabs for the center ductwork and remove. The ductwork is also fastened with double-sided tape at the upper and lower portions. 3. Remove the upper water filter cover. 4. Unlock the upper opaque light cover tabs and remove the cover. 5. Unlock the upper ductwork tabs and remove it.6. Remove the Phillips head screws (8) for the upper light assembly plastic bracket. 7. Pull the stainless steel light bracket down until the wires are exposed and disconnect them. 8. Remove the Phillips head screws (2) for the fresh food fan and damper cover and remove the cover.9. Lay the fan and damper assembly against the compartment and open the back cover. 10. Disconnect the wire connections and remove the damper or fan." Thanks and Good Luck

I recently purchased the part AP3775595 (WR49X10091) - Refrigerator damper assembly for my refrigerator. After an easy installation, the fan is noticeably louder during operation than the original part that I replaced. It is quite loud when the refrigerator door is closed and when I open it and push the Switch Light, the fan is much louder than the original part. It does seem to be turning on and off as it should. Is the fan supposed to be very loud? I replaced the part because of the broken damper door.

Hello Ryan. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
