Brian T November 23, 2018 Ordered wb30t10005 element. Installed and had same problem as Veda in the Q&A. I Reversed the wires per the answer to her problem and it did solve the original problem but now after about 20 seconds I hear a click and the burner cuts off??
1 Answer Brian, For this issue it is possible that if the wires were reversed then the limiter on the element has been damaged and would need to replace the element. Read More...
Paula April 10, 2018 for Model Number Jp350doc1bb Paula here again, which element do I order as our model number doesn’t show up on your list? It would be for the dual front element. Thx
Paula April 10, 2018 for Model Number GE cooktop jp350doc1bb Large element of the dual front element doesn’t work. Would this be the element itself or the control switch. Also our model # doesn’t show up on your list. Thx
1 Answer Paula, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty element which will need to be replaced. Read More...
Greg January 20, 2014 I removed the rear dual surface element to inspect it for an obvious burned area before I order a new element.. I do not see anywhere on the coil where it is burned but only the center coil works. Could it be the small/large burner switch on the front panel ?
1 Answer Greg, It is very possible that the dual element switch is faulty not allowing the outer coil to work and if there is no obvious burn marks or breaks in the coil then the switch would most likely be the issue. Read More...
Miriam October 22, 2013 for Model Number GE JP930 I have a GE smooth cook top and the large dual burner seems to stay hot nonstop. Even on low. Is there a thermostat or do I have to replace the entire burner. If so, how do I remove the top in order to access the burner?
1 Answer Hello Miriam. It sounds like the element control switch is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Veda April 01, 2013 for Model Number General Electric cooktop JP343 When connecting dual element no. WB30T10005 with the new configuration of direct metal connection from ceramic block to the FIRST terminal and then connected the range lead that was originally on the FIRST terminal to the MIDDLE terminal (it was long enough to reach...did not need to cut and splice), the function of unit is wrong. Both inside and outside portions of burner go on when selector calls for both, but when selecting the 6 inch portion only, the inside 6 inch unit goes off and only the outside 10 inch portion stays on. This backwards of what it should be.
Veda April 01, 2013 for Model Number GE cooktop model JP343 New replacement dual element #WB30T10005 has direct connection from first terminal to the terminal from other section directly to the left. Original burner had pink range lead wire connected to first terminal. Instructions in package say to use enclosed service kit #22101002 to splice onto pink range lead and attach to center terminal. If pink lead is long enough, is cutting and splicing with service kit lead necessary?
1 Answer Veda, You will want to follow the instructions on the instruction sheet and connect the way that it says. If you do not have to cut and splice the pink wire and it will fit on the terminal then you do not have to do this step. Read More...
Shawn L. November 12, 2012 for Model Number P3432t1bb Did I buy the right element?? It is the dual element that part that shipped to me was WB30t10005. It is a GE profile cooktop.
1 Answer Shawn, the model number given, P3432t1bb, was not found. However, I was able to find a model number JP343T1BB. According to that model number the 2500w element part number WB30T10005 (WB30X38934) is the correct manufacturer replacement and will work. Thanks! Read More...
Dennis July 29, 2011 for Model Number J P 35080 V1BB Both elements work but come on and off erratically, without regard to the control setting. Is this a problem with the burner or the control?
1 Answer Hi Dennis. You Can turn your pans upside down and use a ruler (straight edge) to see if your pans are warped. If there is an air gap between the bottom of your pans and the top or the surface element, then this will bring the exact issue you have described. Will you please locate your model # behind the storage drawer on the frame of the unit. We will be here to assist you further if you need us. This will help us to provide you with the direct part for your unit. Your correct model # is JP350BV1BB. If you have air trapped underneath the pan and on top the burner it will cycle the burners like mad. But which burners are you referring to? Thank you. Read More...
Jeff July 01, 2011 for Model Number 911.4364991 Ordered this part to replace a possible burned out "outer" element. My original looks like the one pictured on the site. I was shipped a different unit that came with an incomplete diagram indicating that I needed to cut and splice a lead but with no explanation why since the lead they want me to cut already fits the terminal indicated and there is no danger of contact. The problem is that when I connect all the leads the element is not energized although there is power (240) flowing through the infinite switch. The part I was sent is a Ceramaspeed service kit 22101002. Please advise. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jeff. If the instructions advise to cut the lead wire, then that is what you will need to do for the kit. The manufacture has redesigned this element and it works different than the old one. Hope this helps. Read More...
