1 Answer Hello Jesse, Raise the main top by the following method as per the mini manual: Unplug unit or turn off the breaker to it and verify the voltage has been turned off to it. Turn off the gas supply to the unit. Remove burner caps and heads. Remove (12) T-10 torx screws - 1 by each Air/Gas mixer tube. Disengage 2 front clips using a flat blade screwdriver. Lift top up at front. You will now need to prop the main top up and remove the wires from the back of the switch. Depress the metal retainers on either side of the switch at the same time to allow the switch to be pulled out from the door side of the front frame. The new switch will snap into position and the wires re-connected. The re-assembly is done in the reverse order. Read More...
Elisabeth January 30, 2014 for Model Number JVB645BB, JP66)BV1BB GE Profile Glass top range with a switch that turns the when pushed down, turns the fan on or off/slides up or down. The speed button is on the side on how high or low you want the fan. I am searching for a new button that covers the existing one. I assume I have to replace the entire button it is a square cover that covers the button underneath it. Currently you see the white button that turns it on or off, electrically the button works fine. The cook top is in black

Joe March 11, 2011 I see the clips but how are they released or do I have to dismantle the frame to get to them? Thanks. Joe
1 Answer Hello Joe, you will want to use a very small flat head screw driver to get under the ridge and release the clips. You will have to push one clip in and slide out that end of the switch. Once you have one side out you will have to push the other clip in, this will allow the switch to slide out. Hope this helps. Read More...
