By: Ge
Part Number: OEM12931674
Manufacturer Part Number: WB24T10147

This high-amp SPDT switch routes power between circuits in cooking appliances to control items such as locks, element relays, or fans. Replacing a worn switch restores dependable operation and helps eliminate intermittent on/off issues. What it does:

  • Single-pole, double-throw action directs power between NO/NC circuits based on actuator position
  • Used to signal or control a component per the model's design (e.g., latch/lock, relay, fan)
  • Failure symptoms can include no activation, stuck-on/off behavior, intermittent operation, or heat-damaged terminals
  • Electrical tests may show incorrect continuity between COM–NO/NC when pressed or released
What's included:
  • Includes: 1 SPDT high-amp switch
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
  • Label or photograph wiring; move leads to matching COM/NO/NC terminals on the new switch
  • Mount with the correct actuator orientation and secure any bracket or screws
  • Inspect connectors for heat damage; ensure tight spade fits, restore power, and test operation

Rayvo, You will want to check to make sure that the bake element is getting 240 Vac and if it is not then the control board WB27T10305 would be the cause for this issue.

Bob for Model Number JJW9627AAW

The self-clean cycle on the lower oven of my Jena-Air double wall oven would not engage. I removed the panel that the locking latch goes through and found that one of the door switches had fallen into the cavity (the front bakelite flange had partly crumbled). The oven door has two switches -- one controls the oven light and it appears that the other controls whether the door is closed for the self-cleaning cycle to engage. I was able to put the self-cleaning door switch into place temporarily and the self-cleaning cycle does start now! But the door switch will likely fall into the cavity once more. From appearances, this switch looks to be correct -- but is it the one I need for a replacement?

1 Answer

Hello Bob, the oven door switch part 71001129 shows as no longer available from the manufacturer. There is no substitute listed. It is unknown if the switch WB24T10147 you are inquiring about has is the correct size, mounting or terminal size. Neither manufacturer lists the switch specs.

JBH, The popping noise would most likely be caused by a faulty infinite switch on the unit and would want to replace that switch.

Joe, The part that you are looking at WB24T10147 appears to be close to the original which is WB24K5061 which has been discontinued by the manufacturer. It does appear that there may be a slight size difference between the 2. We can only advise that there is no suitable replacement according to the manufacturer for this part.

Bob, This unit does not have a thermal fuse in it that would cause the unit to not heat. For this issue you will want to check the bake element to make sure that the element is good. If the bake element is good then the relay in the control board would be faulty and need to be replaced.
