Steve November 27, 2014 for Model Number PDS22MHRBBB How do you replace the water line reserve on the GE PDS22MHRBBB. It is the Water line behind the crisper.
1 Answer Hello Steve, You will need to order and replace the complete water reservoir WR17X11324. One end goes to the water valve and the other to the water filter housing. It is highly recommended to replace this assembly instead of splicing it to correct a leak. Every additional connection point is another potential leak. Read More...
John June 02, 2014 for Model Number gsl25igxbls No water at door but I have ice. I hear the water valve clicking as I push for water. By the other answers given I think my line is frozen. Do they make a heater for my model? How do I defrost the door?
1 Answer John, Unfortunately the manufacturer did not make a heater kit for your model for the fill tube freezing in the door. You would have to replace the door to correct the issue. Read More...
Mike April 06, 2014 for Model Number GSS22QGPCCC Water doesn't come through the door (it does make ice). Does this model have a "dispenser water tube heater" and if so, (1) what is the part number and (2) how do I get to it to replace it? Thanks.
1 Answer Mike, Yes the water tube heater kit will work for your unit. The part number is WR17X11324 and to access it you would grasp the bottom of the interface and pull out. Once out you would need to remove the 4 screws holding the housing in place. Read More...
Mark January 22, 2014 for Model Number GSH25JFXB WW I can't get any water from the door dispenser. The ice maker is still making ice and the water valve clicks when the water dispenser is actuated, but no water comes out. Is there another valve somewhere or could the line be frozen in the door?
1 Answer Mark, This would more than likely be a frozen water line in the door. You can pull the kickplate off then you will be able to disconnect the water line in at the bottom of the door and hit the dispenser lever. If water comes out then the water line in the door is frozen. Read More...
Charles January 15, 2014 for Model Number GSH22JFTAWW I have no water coming out of front of freezer door. Checked all water lines to the unit and ok no leaks anywhere in house or fridge.freezer filter has water and a lot of pressure when I unscrew the water filter which was replaced on 6 jan 14. wondering what is wrong. I can hear motor run but no water. I can get cubed and crushed ice out of door just no water. thanks charles
1 Answer Hello Charles. The water line may be frozen in the freezer door. Remove the line from the bottom of the door and see if water comes out there. If so, you need to thaw out the freezer door, it is frozen. You will need to install a heater kit WR49X10173 to repair the unit. Read More...
Jd July 18, 2013 Hi We have GE GSS201ETAWW and it brought me to this part. I see this is the water line behind the crisper. We had a problem with some black specs coming through to our water dispenser. After getting a water purifier and figuring out it wasn't the back line, we identified the inside line as the culprit. My question: ease of replacing this part? Thank you.
1 Answer JD, To replace the water tank in the back of the unit you would need to pull the unit out and disconnect the water line coming from the cabinet of the unit to the water valve. At the lower freezer door there is a connector that you will need to disconnect the water line there. Open the refrigerator door and remove the crisper drawers and shelves. Once this is done you will be able to pull the water tank out. Install the new tank and tubing and reconnect. Pay attention to where the water line goes under the cabinet for the door so that you can reinstall in the same location. Read More...
