Pam, To replace the display cover you will need to remove the dispenser assembly. To do this, remove the drip tray and place your hand on the bottom where the tray was. Push down and pull straight out and this should release the dispenser cover. Remove the dispenser cover and you will be able to gain access to the cover to replace it.

Chris for Model Number LFX33975ST/03. Serial Numb 306KRPV04816

Hello, I have a LFX33975ST/03 LG refrigerator and the digital display clear cover has peeled up from the bottom and is black underneath as though it over heated. The numbers and displays all work, but cosmetically it looks bad and I would like to replace that. What is the part number and cost to replace this and is it as simple as using a putty knife to pry up the tabs to get remove the old and install the new? I’m fairly handy if I have good instructions. Thanks you!

Denise, a putty knife would be needed to remove the display cover assembly MCK66585116. With the power cord to the appliance unplugged, the putty knife will be used to release the locking tabs of the entire dispenser cover assembly ACQ85430239 so that it may be pulled forward away from the door. Once it is free, the locking tabs for the display cover can be accessed on the back to release it without damaging the dispenser cover assembly.

Once you remove the dispenser you will be able to access the display to cover to remove it. Also, check to make sure that the piece that is damaged is not just a protective cover that you just pull off.

Before I buy the part I want to make sure I can replace it. Can you provide some instructions on how to replace the panel cover?

Frank, Your LG refrigerator model has multiple variations, we would need your factory suffix/production code number from the production tag on the refrigerator, to be able to properly advise you of the proper parts needs. But based on the information we could glean from the manufacturers' parts and service library there is a display cover MCK66585129 / MCK66585129 Cover, Display as well as a EBR72955426 / EBR72955422 Refrigerator Dispenser Display Control Board. We can be better informed and advise you of the proper part needs once we get a production code/suffix number. Thanks,
